I hope this game is good. I haven't paid any attention to the hype so I only have a slight idea on what to expect. Don't let me down Lionhead.

I thought Fable 2 wasn't going to ship with Co-op...
Actually it will but it will only work on one system the online co op will apparantly not work for a week or two after release.

Edit: personally I can't wait for this game I loved the first one though maybie that's because I picked it up second hand ages after it's release wthout knowing anything about it prior to purchase so I wasn't caught up in the hype.
In any rate i'm sure that even if this is only as good as the last one I'm going to love this one as well[/fanboy rant].

What's all the fuss about this game that makes it a GOTY contender?
Mainly because very few great things have come out this year especially for the xbox 360. Thus people are looking forward to fable 2 as 1 was a great game.

Correction, it'll be an update on the day of release.

My boss went to the gamestop expo where he was able to play fable 2.
He said it basically stole the show. That and Fallout 3. Except the line for Fallout 3 was too long but he says fable 2 is worth the buy.

FREEDOM! That's why we're excited by it, we can ignore camera and combat problems for the freedom to do anything
My main worry, though, is that we'll suffer another round of false promises on Molyneaux's part. Ah well- I'm being cynical when there's no need to be......Yet.......

That will be the best thing about Fable 2, though, if it has it.......

Even though Fable is by far one of my most favourite games (I play it to pass the time until 2 comes out).

Saying this though i can admit, Fable and Lost Chapters didn't hit the mark of what Molyneux originally promised us, but realistically, everything he promised wouldn't have been completely possible on the console of that era (the original Xbox).
Not to be misinterpreted as justification for how Molyneux did still promise more then he could deliver, i was mildly dissapointed with the quality of the game, but even so, i still manage to enjoy it more then every-other game in my house, much to the confusion of my friends who don't really understand my adoration for the game.

We're entering a stage in Computer Gaming now where people are no longer interested by long-winded Linearity, people want to be able to make choices, they want those choices to affect the world around them, and i think Fable, dispite it's obvious gameplay and story flaws even coupled with the empty promises delivers the kind of environment that gamers want really well.

Fable 2 if anything, despite any hype or promises, should if common sense still exists in the world, be an improvment on that.
Which in my book makes it a worthwhile purchase.

Yes, the combat hasn't been stepped-up too much from the previous title, but they HAVE tried to expand on it by making it, as others have said, more rythm(forgive spelling if wrong) based, but really, there wasn't anything incredibly wrong with the combat in Fable.
It's essentially about the mix of the three disciplines anyway.
And i'm eager to see this "depth" they've worked into those aspects.

The Trailer will be bland because really, it's only there to show off gameplay and give a vague view of what this game will look like.
Considering it's a sandbox RPG with (if the original one is anything to go by) a very loose story, what else can you expect?

This is also the first time i've ever heard any issues with the camera...
I woud have assumed the camera would work much like the original wherein it's controlled by the right analog stick.
The Glowing Trails, can be turned off, so it's not really a genuine issue.

Also i vaguely remember watching a development video for this game where Molyneux apologised for promising so much for the first game, but went on to say "What's the point in making a game if you don't whole-heartedly believe that it's the best game ever?"
Really, he has a point, i wouldn't make anything unless i thought it'd be brilliant.

Like i said, i'm not trying to Justify his empty promises (as much as i'm sure it sounds like it).

But really, thinking a game will be poor because it fails to tell a story or because Combat looks repetative or because there is seemingly no person on earth that thinks Molyneux is a competant human being, especially when no one bar the play-testers has had a chance to play it, is a bit silly.

Especially when most of todays greatest "Mainstream" games are pretty much the same, bar the molyneux bit.

For example, Halo.
You find a gun you like, you use that to kill essentially the same enemies, over and over until the ending happens, the story is only slightly ridiculous *awaits pending mauling* as well as generic.
Admittedly it has co-op or player vs player online mode, so yeah, it can be enjoyable without touching the story, but the same can be said for Fable.

I play that almost constantly, the story isn't important, to me it's just a string of long quests that unlock more areas for me to burn and pillage.

Anyway, i think my point as reached rambling point and it's gone on longer then i really felt necessary, so i'll leave it at that.

Ok, this is me being serious - can anyone give any justification as to why the game has STDs? That sounds more like Molyneaux showing that hes a bit immature rather than a major technical innovation. Plus, that is likely to scare off a couple of players, and its not likely to draw any new ones in (at least I kinda hope not - I really don't want to think that there are gamers who are looking for a Chlamydia sim)
For every choice a consequence i suppose lol!

Realism and Consequence.
Typically if you're the kind of player that "puts it about" really there should be a form of "Punishment" if you can call it that, it also adds another moral choice that people are met with in day-to-day life.

Adding this to the game, yes may well be un-called for, but still, if it adds to the theme of the game, then why not?

As long as your character doesn't unexpectedly keel over from a life-threatening STD at least...

A new video showing off the magic [http://www.gametrailers.com/player/41166.html#comments_top].

Sorry, still looks kinda awkward. Synopsis: You have slots from lvl 1-5 you select spells for, tap button to do the weak lvl 1 spell, hold it down to do the powerful level 5 spell. Even crappy beatles kick his arse when he's trying to charge the high level spell, and changing between different spells means going through menus. I'm very skeptical that forcing all those magic spells into a one button thing for the sake of casuals is going to be much good for gameplay.
