Fable 3(Am I the only one excited?)

I'm not excited, because I don't want my hopes to be ruined.

Go into it thinking it's another boring RPG and if I come out feeling the same way, no annoyance. If I go in thinking it's boring and it comes out great, brilliant even - then that we be fantastic (and vice versa).

If it weren't for the surprising amount of agreement with you i would plainly say 'yes, yes you are'.

I see the Fable franchise as totally separate games: Fable was a classic fantasy RPG, with an enjoyably cliqued storyline. It basically said 'heres your health, your mana, your period weapons and magics. Those are some quests - DO IT' and i did. And i loved it

Fable 2 is where i disagree with Yahtzee, its not a re-make of Fable 1, re-painted or hiding in a shineyer box - its just not a good game. Many features are pointless, the storyline tries to be gritty but comes out stupidly over-the-top. It took out all the armour-hunting, story-enjoying, character-giving-a-shit-about, that i LOVED in Fable 1.

In Fable 3 i hold no interest whatsoever, Fable 2 let me down, and i'm not going to buy the game just because the old glory days were good, i'm gonna need a great review to want to acknowledge its existance at all.
I feel a bit like a sonic fan when i say, just release Fable: Even More Lost Chapters and i will buy it - i care not for graphics, just make it, and for God's sakes, please stop making new shit.

I'm not all that excited. I played Fable II and thought it was all right. Not life changing or mind blowing but I didn't trade it in when I was done with it so it's okay. As for Fable III; I've heard all sorts of junk about Natal which, quite frankly, can go die in a fire, and I heard another bunch of junk which I can't recall but remember feeling very dubious about. I certainly won't pre-order it but I might pick it up if I find it in a bin.

I was excited for Fable 2 until I found out there would be no PC release. Since it appears they are exclusively pandering to X-Box now, they can sod off for all I care (though I suspect Microsoft is the real culpret behind that).

I'm exited, but I'm not going to get my hopes up, or listen to Peter Moleneux and what he promises.

I didn't listen to any of the hype for Fable 1 and 2, and I really enjoyed them.

So I'll do the same thing for the third one. Not listen to anything anyone says about it, and be very happy with it.

Hopefully others will do the same. After all, if you fall for his hype a third time, well then you deserve to be dissapointed.

Pretty much this - I'm interested in Fable 3, but I don't want to get excited as Peter will just break my heart again with his cruel, cruel hype.

Honestly, I found Fable 2 my GOTY 2008.

Fuck GTA IV.

Ugh, tell me about it. Fable is not a game that cries out for motion controlled gaming. I seriously am not going to mime a "vulgar thrust" or "fart" in my living room no matter how cool Pete Molyneux says it will be.
