I'd have to say that the Fable games have not really let anyone down at this point, rather than having some bland entertainment at times. So even being the suckish trailer it shows, it could still very well be a decent if not great game.

Anyone up for a friendly game of Chicken Kickin'?

probably a reference to the chicken kicker thing in fable 2
Actually, it already was there in the original Fable.
The lost chapters even had a minigame were you could earn money (after you've won the other prizes) called Chicken kicking.

Meh.

I'm not seeing the originality besides using a chicken.

And what's with trailers(or openings) and revealing the whole plot anyway?

So...you play as a chicken?

It's official, Peter Molyneux has truly lost it.

That...*sniffle*...poor chicken.

OT: I was looking forward to it before, and with further confirmation that Sara remains a voice actor, I still continue to do so.

That was a great intro, much better than the last one. It showed off Fable's weird humor and style and the voice-over encapsulated everything that this game is about. But I'm kinda worried about the release date. Fable 2 was delayed like 5 times, so how is the sequel coming out so fast? Hopefully that means this game will finally be a total epic we're always promised.

..I personally don't understand why they would choose the Fable Chicken as the protagonist for this trailer, but.. okay?

Though as we all know, it will suffer during gameplay. It will suffer.

I get its symbology.... i mean symbolism it portrays the message i guess
Sort of. Chicken is not sapient and therefore has no rights, Humans are sapient and therefore do. Anthropomorphism sort of falls flat on that end. The inherent implication of depicting animals we eat on a regular basis as being sapient is that it is wrong to eat them.

Is anybody else bothered by the fact that the "hero" chicken was white, and all the stupid, normal chickens were brown?

And now, to go with your rebellious chicken dinner and side order of crushed dreams, for your entertainment we have arranged the world's smallest violin, playing the world's saddest song.
Enjoy.

WTF. As much as Fable and Fable 2 sucked, this game will suck more, and the opening was both retarded and depressing, alredy warning you the game will suck. If you are excited anbout this game, your eventual dissapointment is your own fault. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. Fool me three times, derp!
I must disagree. I think that it will be a very good game. But the truth is that none of us will know until it comes out. So hold your opions until we see the finaly product.

I was really enjoying that, until the end. If I ever get Fable III, may god have mercy upon those that declare themselves as chefs in my presence.

That was excellent, using the hen as a metaphor for the oppressed citizens of Albion desiring freedom, but not being capable of achieving it on their own, regardless of how hard they try, was just brilliant on Lionhead's part.

Still lovin' that unique brand of Fable humour, and still looking forward to seeing how the Threquel to Fable turns out!

[sub]Not to mention the thrill of knowing Zoe is returning as Kriea Theresa, one can't help but wonder what kind of a role she'll play in the newest installment, will she be a mentor to the hero, as she was to Sparrow? Or a mere observer, or even a puppet master, pulling the strings from beyond the shadows? Ooo, I can't wait![/sub]

[sub][sub]That chef will burn for what he did to the hen. BURN.[/sub][/sub]

I think that making the chicken white as opposed to the uniform brown of the other chickens was simply to make it stand out amongst the other birds, mark it out as being special. The only racist undertones here are the ones you decide to see, which is rather silly, as there obviously weren't any indecent intentions in the video, made especially silly considering that the most badass character in the previous Fable, Garth, was black.
