i'd honestly sooner write off David Fincher because of this movie than give this movie a chance because it's directed by David Fincher. i hated every bleeding, pandering, overblown, unbearable aspect of this movie BEFORE i knew Jesse Eisenberg was in it. now, it's dead to me. i will neither say nor read anything further about this film. i won't even see it if Rifftrax does a riff on it.

Umm, do you guys even know anything about the movie besides what its about? The director is David Fincher, who made Zodiac, Panic Room, Seven, and Fight Club. Zodiac was most exciting when it was just dialogue, because it made the characters and the atmosphere. Don't rule out this film yet.
I'm surprised it took so long for someone to say this! It's David Fincher for crying out loud! Also, the soundtrack is by Trent Reznor. Two things that definately make me take notice.

You don't get to 500 million friends without making a few enemies (???)

Well, go suck a dick facebook movie...

Facebook is an insult to the word friend.
You mean taking the effort to click a button labeled "confirm" doesn't mean you're lifelong friends who cherish each other?

Well, this movie looks pretty dumb. Oh well, it's easily avoidable.

Also, am I the only one who thinks that cover of Creep is terrible? Ah well. :p

Yep. Thats right there is a movie called "The Social Network" Here is the trailer.
What turns me off from the idea is that they are acting like it is a epic thing (Or at least people of my age group,14, are) I know Tom knows the creator of Facebook Personally but this is crazy. Well the trailer speaks for it self.
Tom Created Myspace...

Too many facebook haters.
I don't use facebook; probably never will.

But you never know, this movie might actually be worth an hour and a half of my time.

Oh god...WHY! (I honestly cried this out)

This is being directed by the same guy who directed [b/]Fight Club[/b]!

If I could quote everyone who jumped on this movie and write this I would. This thread is annoying me no end.

"The Last Airbender" was directed by the same guy who directed the "Sixth Sense".
But that guy had a whole litany of crap movies before The Last Airbender.

The director of the Facebook film has a spotless film record, without a single dud. Fight Club, Se7en, Zodiac and more... it might not be the film of the century but if this film is total shit I'll be very, very surprised.

Oh c'mon guys, it's freaking Micheal Cera. Isn't he great?
Can't tell if your just being sarcastic but it's the guy from Adventureland not Cera...

OT: This movie shows some promise, I wouldn't be so quick to write it off as well as the fact to say it should be good considering the plot and the director.

... Riiiight, I'm going to step over to the indifferent crowd now.

Mostly because I've realized my mistake in judging the film too harshly (though I still don't see how it's a story needed to be told), but also because when I see comments like this:
