Facebook: The Movie.

Well, it is by David Fincher. The guy knows what he's doing. I'm sure they'll manage to squeeze some drama out of it somehow, and if anyone can, Fincher can. Also, Jesse Eisenberg is an awesome actor. I'm sure it'll be worth a watch, despite the subject matter.

The soundtrack is also being done by Trent Reznor, who also thought the movie sounded retarded until he got to see it. He said it's a lot darker than you would think.

I saw this thread in the side thing while watching LRR and thought, "Even if it's a joke/theoretical, I just died a little inside reading that." Now that I see it's actually real, I completely died inside... But then got better when I saw it was some kind of "How Facebook was founded" premise rather than some idiotic internet drama made into a movie. Next they'll make an actual movie (not documentary) about how Microsoft came to be. Or Apple. Or Google.

I saw the trailer today in theatres. It looks boring and premature. I definitely will not be seeing it. The addition of the cover of Creep just made the trailer... creepy.

First, that is awesome! do you mind if I use it every now and again? I'll attribute it to you if anyone asks.

Secondly, I feel left out, seeing as I don't have facebook or anything really. I have and Escapist profile, a Cracked profile, and a few other funny website profiles. But no social networking ones.

Yep. Thats right there is a movie called "The Social Network" Here is the trailer.
What turns me off from the idea is that they are acting like it is a epic thing (Or at least people of my age group,14, are) I know Tom knows the creator of Facebook Personally but this is crazy. Well the trailer speaks for it self.

Never judge a movie by its trailer. Ever.

Facebook is an epic thing, anyway. Its epicness is hard to overstate. Maybe you have to have grown up in the BBS system age to really appreciate how amazing Facebook is. Whether the film will actually be any good - who knows, but it's a worthy topic. The only thing that I think could hold this film back is that maybe it's a little too soon to be making it, given that many of the issues surrounding Facebook in its current form are still ongoing.

Great version of Radiohead's Creep by the way. I like it more than the original.

Totally agree, when I was growing up the thought of something like Facebook or Myspace would seem completely unreal, well most of today's technology would have back then. I could see why people would be interested in it, I'll ptobably watch it because it really is a revolutionary thing as far as connecting the world. Deffinitely a renter.

Also, I really think people that get upset over the making of a movie is massively pathetic. If one is truly as independant and intelligent as MANY users on here indicate they truly would not give a fuck and just not watch it.
