Alan Wake

I bought into all the hype and build-up for it, where it was seen among the general gaming population as being an intense survival/psychological horror game that would fuck your brain until it begs it to stop, then make your heart run laps for 10 hours until it nearly dies.

What we got...just...watch Yahtzee's review of it. It pretty much sums up this embarrassment perfectly.

Just rented and played The Force Unleashed 2. It took me 6 hours. Where in the hell is the rest of my gameplay at?

Kingdom Under Fire: Circle of Doom. I know it's not a 2010 release, but I only played it recently and it's horrendous.

Easily Starcraft 2 for me. The game itself was great, of course, but the way they butchered battle.net disappointed me more than any game in my entire life. I spent two years before release dreaming of all the wonderful maps I would make in the editor... then I find out that while you can create almost any map you want, the restrictions on releasing it is retarted beyond belief. There's not even a way for you to open a single player map inside Starcraft! You have to open the map in the editor and press "test level". What the hell?

The butchering of battle.net 2 means I haven't touched starcraft since I completed the single player campaign. I was expecting to be playing this for years like warcraft 3, but without a functional mod support, playing the game just seems like a waste.

Unfortunately, mine has to be Fallout: New Vegas. I really was looking forward to this game, and have yet to complete it because the game is so glitchy not just in that stupid save-erasing thing, but because the way the game is played is very glitchy. Overpowered monsters prevent you from entering new vegas early on, and although the game touts itself as 'sandbox' it doesn't feel like one with monsters constantly stopping your progress unless you follow the exact laid out path they want you to. Perhaps the big patch will change everything. Perhaps the DLC will change everything. Perhaps I don't care at this point.

I will have to say Final Fantasy 13. I have played every major Final Fantasy to date and my interest is quickly waning after discovering much greater games.

Not on here they won't. On these forums, it's the Valve and Bioware fans you need to be wary of pissing off. God forbid if they ever band together and wage war on the rest of the internet... actually wait. I'd love to see that.
