Oh man. Bethesda had the disclaimer on their Fallout 3 development blog, FFS. If you were a really big fan of this game and were excited about it, why didn't you pick it up from the source? I know I did, that's why I bought it for my XBox 360 and not for my PS3.
The reality is - and here I go for the nth time since I joined this board explaining - that Sony chose to put the burden of cost for their servers on the developers, not the subscribers. Which is a broken model, since every month since last November, Sony's been reporting that the PSN is running in the red. When they finally authorize to charge PS3 owners a subscription fee for the service, I'm going to bet that the developers start changing their tune of exclusive DLC for the 360.
The other problem is that the O/S for the PS3 is pile of shit code-wise, and someone in Sony needs to go back and change the obvious flaws that hinder developers from making awesome games on the PS3. I know this because I've worked with their code. Why does it take longer to make a great game on the PS3? Because it takes the developers twice as long to code it.
And that's all I gotta say about that. Otherwise, I get Sony PS3 fanboys who don't work with Sony's code coming in here and denying reality all over again.
Honestly, I hate exclusives as well, as the developer will always make more money and more dedicated fans that way. In turn, they can make more good games.pdgeorge said:The only thing I'm saying is they should not be allowed to sell half a game to one group of people, who for the most part, won't find out that they spend more time on google then they do playing the game.
