Fallout 3 WTF moments...

Best level in a video game ever, period.

I challenge that with the Haunted Hotel from VoTM: Bloodlines, it was amazingly scary for its time and had really fcked up moments.

The Shalebridge Cradle would like a word with the both of you.

I was wandering around the wasteland and i saw some ants fighting radscorpions in the sky, when they died their bodies would stay up there too

The ending was also...Damn it sucked. Fawkes giving me some bullshit about "destiny" wasn't helping either...Damn, serious bullshit ending. Rest of the game was pretty cool though. Does Broken Steel alter the ending somehow? I haven't really paid attention to Fallout 3's expansions that much, didn't seem that interesting to me.

In Broken Steel you can send Fawkes in to do it. Or send Sarah Lyons, or even yourself.. you won't die anyway.

3 possibilities but has the same outcome. You and Sarah Lyons get into a coma even being outside. You wake up after two weeks, she hasn't.

Broken Steel is a pretty neat add-on, gets ur lvl cap to 30, probably 5 more hours of gameplay with random encounters,and srsly who doesn't like random encounters?. Although some of the perks are downright lame.

e.g. at level 22 you can choose perks that can change your karma level to Evil, Neutral, or Good... Well whoop-dee fkin doo ..

I like the Puppies! perk though so when Dogmeat dies, a dog from Dogmeat's litter will be waiting outside vault 101 after a few days and it replaces Dogmeat as a companion.

I don't remember where I was, but it wasn't from any DLC, just the original game.

Anyways, I blasted a few raiders, and the blood spurt from one of them glitched into a ball of floating blood. I could walk around it and everything, I found it terribly amusing. Took pictures, dunno where they went. :[

This happen to anyone else?

not exactly this but i've had bits of body and blood floating around...

also sometimes if i shot things they would fly off and the limbs would bend and stretch ridiculously...

also sometimes when going to the subway stations fawkes would be stuck upto his middle in the ground...

mine was i was in paradise falls and i just made the deal with the gun shop owner to get him 30 chinese assault rifles and me and charon exited the shop and all of the people in paradise falls started to attack me luckily for me i was lvl 20 with a crap load of health with 100% outcast armour and so did charon and i had the unique gattling laser (cant remember the name) and i had given charon Eugene(unique gattling gun) we killed every 1 but still y did they all attack me it was random

btw unique gatling laser is called "Vengeance".

My wtf moment was near Ranger Compound where there's that guy with mines screaming about the sun, ended up sniping him and shotgunning the scared wastelander

so I downloaded an add-on which allows me to kill kids! Woohoo..!
man that was some funny stuff.]

If u don't get add-on u can use sandman perk on kids and they won't die!!! u still get exp but don't lose karma. FUCKIN' AWESOME!!!

got a headshot on a raider near the supermart that's close to megaton .. this was messed up .. the blood stuck out of his head like a giant hexagon and flailed around like crazy ... ok let me give you an example of its size .. look at a behamoth super mutant ... now image it as a radroach

long story short .. it flung me all the way back to vault 101....

Yea. The first Raider I killed was there. When he died, his limbs all stretched and quivered (I thought he was mutating into some sort of other enemy) then HE shot up into orbit. It took a few seconds for me to realize that a crazy spider mutant wasn't going to swoop down and attack me.

When I took my evil character to the same supermarket I run into Mel (Gibson?) so I Mezzed and sold his ass. I hate Mel Gibson.

I also almost got jacked by some lame bozo for my Naughty Nightware. I hacked at him with my ripper and we fell through the floor and into an adjacent tunnel: wtf.

This isn't exactly a glitch, but it was a major WTF on my part, so here goes.

I had a friend over, and I wanted to show him Fallout 3. He was dicking about in the wasteland when he was attacked by a pair of lone Super Mutants. He felt like having some fun, so he whipped out a missile launcher with around 30 rounds, and VATSed them. And missed both shots. So he tried again. and missed once more. This went on until all 30 of the missiles were spent, and in the end, he hadn't landed a single hit.

Seriously, those Super Mutants must have either had the best luck in the world, or my friend must have the worst...

A yao guai charged at me and I shot it in the face with a combat shotgun up close. As a result it flew 60 feet into the air and landed behind me.

In Big Town, the Super Mutants just attacked and I made sure that all of the town residents survived, I go into a building and when I come out Pappy suddenly goes flying into the air and dies when he comes back down. I looked around to see how this happened and there was nothing.
Also when I was in D.C. I just left the History Museum and a bus suddenly comes flying towards me, I get out of the way and it hits the side of the museum. I reload the game to see if this would happen a gain and it does, except this time it doesn't come at me, instead, it flys over the building into the sky and disappears. I never saw that bus again.

Dude, I read that as soon as the song "The Magic Bus" started playing. BEST. TIMING. EVER.

Add me to the "Disappointed by the Ending" crowd. That was a real WTF moment. "So, I spent all this time carefully considering all the moral choices, evaluating and re-evaluating the ramifications of the ways I solve quests, and you're ending the game without so much as showing me the impact of my adventures?". It was like watching Indiana Jones IV all over again. It was like shoving a spike right through my childhood AND my inner geek.

At the end of Point Lookout i was standing on the little island about to fast travel but before i opened the pipboy i got shot so i used vats to see where it was but it came up with nothing, i used my sniper rifle to find it but couldn't see anything and then i thought it was a glitch because all the shots always hit me so i just fast traveled out of there and forgot about it.

there was another time when i was a low level and was fighting a centaur and suddenly its tounges stretched out and were a couple of meters long.

So a few months ago while I was playing, I had just discovered Girdershade. I was just outside the crazy Nuka girl's house when I see a Deathclaw off in the distance. He sees me and starts to come at me so I run into the house. All of sudden, there is a frikkin' Deathclaw in the house! He's big enough to take half of the space and the girl is freaking out. I run out and fast travel to Megaton where I go to bed and keep playing, completely forgetting about the monster in that poor girl's house. Fast forward to a few days ago when I pick up the game to finish the Nuka-Cola Challenge. Weeks have probably passed by in-game. I walk into the girl's house and to my surprise, the Deathclaw is still in there and the girl is alive. I was all like WTF!!! It attacks me and I kill it.

when you use the combat shotgun or any gun to the face of a raider and takes 4 to 8 rounds to drop them , hey most shots to the head are one shot one kill that is one , and why would you have locked ammo boxes and med kits ? it would be bad if ya needed it and can't get it
