I like New Vegas allot. But i find it quite funny and ironic that Bethesda is making a Patch for Obsidian's game.
Most people will agree that Bethesda puts a massive amount of effort into it's games. But it's funny to me that they're doing it for someone else. I guess it reflects on them in the end and this will just help profit them. But it makes me laugh anyway.
How do you feel about this patch? I personally welcome it. Anything to get rid of Obsidians' endless bugs.

So I heard NV is buggy?
Way buggy. It's not as buggy as the reviews make out but it's still more so than a lot of games. Obsidian is like that.

this is all I've seen since it's come out! Where are the positive points?

Well its a massive game, they have alot to cover, still there's no excuse for a mega buggy game.

It cannot be mega-buggy can it, the last thing I want is to waste money on a game that crashes all the time.

Well, I'd much rather have a patch from Bethesda, one that the works and hopefully won't cause many more glitches and bugs, then one from Obsidian, who let these things go and watch as the bugs alone drag down game. Look at Alpha Protocol, that was one of the glitches games I have ever played.

If it wasn't for the bugs, the gameplay, the plot, the characters, the speech system and the weapon system, Alpha Protocol may have been a great game.

I ran into one bug so far (Payed for 4 hours) and it was a simple radscorpion stuck in the ground. I don't see what all the fuss is about.

I still don't know what's so bad about Alpha Protocol. I played through it recently, and thought it was rather good, and absolutely not as glitchy as people made it out to be IMO. (Although I encountered the level transitioning bug once, had to restart the mission.)

EDIT: Btw, it INFURIATES me (Nerdrage - "You've been pushed around long enough!") that the game isn't out in Europe yet - bugs or not.

EDIT2: New Vegas I mean, not AP xD

They said the same thing about Fallout 3 "its too buggy, there are game-breaking buggs" and guess what? i had no problems with Fallout 3, only encountering minor buggs (like you said, enemy stuck in the ground).

Iv noticed a few bugs but nothing game breaking just some cosmetic bugs and glitches, my game did crash once but is when i was about to die anyway so no real harm done.

I'm only disappointed of the voiceacting. Fallout 3's voice actors were compelling and almost a bit cliché-dramatic.
New Vegas, however, everyone speaks quick as hell in a monotone voice. meh.

Well, the XBOX will be getting...sigh... exclusive dlc stuff. So it's down to the question do you use mods? If you do and are using Windows XP I'd say go for the pc version (Windows 7 and Vista apparently have some pretty epic frame rate issues that seem strangely connected to players using Nvidia products) otherwise go for the PS3 one.

I'm unsure why a small graphical glitch like the one I saw in the character creation screen is a reason to burn it down to the ground...
