Fallout: New Vegas - What do you want to see?

What changes and additions do you want to see? Any special features?

Personally I want to be able to walk around vegas, gamble, go to clubs and see land marks.
Perhaps they could add some vehicles to the game, with limited fuel supply so you can't just drive them all the time.

More backgrounds to choose from than just 1.
And this game seems to be keen on delivering that, so I'm happy.
And maybe tighter shooting controls, I liked VATS, but you practcally had to use it, 'cause the shooting mechanics sucked and you had extremely limited ammo.

Punishing difficulty and better gore.

The punishing difficulty one has already been confirmed, so yay to that.

But as for the gore, it should be more like Fallout 1 and 2, which was pre-animated and brutal. Tearing someone apart with a minigun was great fun.

However, Fallout 3's gore was just stupid. Seriously? Shoot a guy with a 10MM pistol and all his limbs fly 20 feet?

It completely ruined the impact of the whole gore idea.

Make it more realistic, and thus more disgusting, and you've got a winner.

My favorite example of the gore in fallout 3 was in the "The Pitt" DLC when I had to kidnap the baby and his mother tried to stop me.

I shot her in the chest with the magnum, and her left arm and leg fell off...

I was like whatever, and then grabbed the kid and blasted my way out of there.

I'm thinking Fallout games just aren't for me. I hated the atmosphere and that it forces you to use first-person with an unusable third-person vantage. I hated the VATS, too, but thats corrected by just not using it. The gore was cheesy, the ending is a slap on the face with the super-mutant who won't go in the room despite being able to survive in there.
It's just a game for people with different tastes. Enjoy the next one, though.

As long as they keep VATS it's really hard to mess up New Vegas. Then again, it is Obsidian. Hopefully they actually take their time and don't rush an unfinished product so they can release it earlier....

ah, just thinking about it, i'm probably not going to play it. Fallout 3 was a great game but i can't imagine Vegas bringing enough changes for me to bother paying for it.

A new fallout game? first I've heard of it!

A larger level cap, larger skill caps, being able to aim at specfic limbs with melee weapons aswell as guns (in VATS), longer main story. Also some of the perks seemed a little pointless. Perhaps something like being able to start your own slaver camp or merc group would be pretty cool.

And yeah less mirelurks, those things are creepy - they are WAY too quiet for their size!

Any word on a release date?

make the city part a little more alive with people, but still make it feel like a bomb went off miles away that damaged the city

Keep VATS.. its a must. it brings more strategy to the combat.

more realistic gore, from what i have read in the post i am beginning to agree with it.

oh and definitly a larger lvling cap, also from the other comments.

I cannot fucking wait for this game
