How about a broader color pallete. I get the tone its trying to set, but why not offset it with some vibrant colors once in a while. Was there no bright paint for homes in the future?

Keep the V.A.T.S for us lazy people but tighten up the core shooting mechanics for the people who want it to feel more like a tactical shooter. Cant remember a single fight in Fallout 3 where I didnt go in using V.A.T.S right off the bat but thats just me. More class customization would be really nice. The perks are awesome but would like to be able to choose ones based on how I want to play not get to choose from 2 each time you level up. Would also like the skills to go above 10 and have more of an affect on how one plays because I only felt that agility and strength were actually useful. One other big thing i'd like to see implemented is a better third person view because at some points the first person just didnt cut it. Other than that some new guns and more easily accessible ammo and health packs at the beginning of the game would be a big plus.

V.A.T.S

Then I'm happy.

And maybe not Bloatflies.
Those creep me out
This, except i want MOAR Bloatflies, they were my favorite.

Actually if they stick to the original designe of F3 but add there own uniqe input i think they might have a great game on there hands.

Also off topic, is anybody else sorta psyched at the idea of playing a Chinese Ghoul?

I would like a split-screen companion, make it to where you can have a friend join in with you and take over as your companion. The hilarity of things you could do would be limitless. Also have an unlockable console mode for after you beat the game on 360.

Less health, for everyone, you, enemies, NPCS...

It would make things more tense. Also, more ability to make stuff, ie cobbling together a gun out of some old auto repair tools.

That would be a good idea actually. If they were gonna do that it might even be worth (dare I say it) considering some kind of cover system. They would have to do it without sacrifising ANY of the RPG elements though, because that would just suck if they did. Mass effect 2 anybody? lol :)

I've said it before and I'll say it again - A proper bloody light!!

If a large part of your game involves exploring pitch black tunnels/caves and dingy gloomy buildings then is it too much to ask for a light that, you know, actually lights things up.The Pip-boy light in FO3 was about as effective as a mobile phone screen

A better story then Fallout 3. It just wasn't compelling for me, and I lost interest in it before I even finished.

I'd like to see Bethesda stop teabagging the corpse of fallout.

But since thats not going to happen...

How about some character models/animations that look like something made by an actual professional 3D animator?
Ha ha ha! I see what you did there! You know, making a claim that makes very little sense, as the game is not being made by Bethesda!

Sorry, am I wrong assuming that you were using sarcasm?

Less bitching and moaning about fallout 3 and Bethesda.... More people getting out of the mid 90's...

I was offended when Nintendo made Mario 3D from a 2D platformer but you don't see me bitching and moaning about it...

Get the fuck over it....
When Bethesda stop making shitty games and start making game at least vaguely similar to the original Fallouts before they call them Fallout games, then people will stop bitching.

I actually would like to see no VATS. I used it plenty on my first play through, but on my 2nd I never once used it and I felt the experience was much better. I don't mind it for the occasional intense situation to pop a couple heads but generally I didn't like it... basically takes the fun out of combat.

I would like to see a lot more quests to do. I really loved Fallout 3 and some of the side quest lines, but I think when I go exploring new areas just for fun, it would be great to actually have something to do than just scrounge around for ammo and supplies... like yea, thanks for wasting 20 minutes walking out to this wierd building so I could find some shotgun shells and a health pack... greaaaat.

I really liked weapons and crafting your own, but I would really like to see more customizing on weapons. I think it's cool that you find the schematics and have to scrounge for parts, but they should add tons of schematics for different types of addons for every weapon - scopes, silencers, and pretty much anything from the BioShock catalogue. Of course, you shouldn't be allowed all the addons at the same time but certainly with high level skill you could get at least a couple on each weapon.

Considering it's vegas, it would be great if they make a casino with tons of different minigames just for shits. Like card games (or dice poker from The Witcher) and slot machines. I would like to be able to drive a vehicle too if it's a huge area like Fallout 3 was. Especially if I have to scrounge for fuel.

Excited about the hardcore mode. That's my style.

More "R.P.G" elements. Multiple backgrounds, more influence on quest endings, more realistic characters.

Basically more like Fallout 1+2, less like Fallout 3 (or Oblivion) I don't have my hopes high though even though its being developed by Obsidian...
A company founded by people who made Fallout 2... your low hopes makes about as little sence as possible.
High hopes can only lead to disappointment. Remember Bethesda is still ultimately the one in charge.

It's still using their "mannequin", "Revenge of the Uncanny Valley" or whatever it's called engine that Oblivion and Fallout 3 both used.

I'd like to see weapons that look more like the sprites of the first two games. The ones in 3 were not "futuristic" enough. That and the story and the lack of choice in factions. You were doomed to join the Brotherhood like it or not. So ultimately there was no replay-ability.
