Far Cry 2 is what I consider to be the worst game I ever played and I've been playing since the NES.

I don't hold out much hope for Far Cry 3

Oh come on, the worst? I've played worse in the last six months. Brutal Legend sucked.

I hated Far Cry 2:

Disappointing story
boring missions
loong travel times
Claustrophobic scenario that doesn't feel like Africa, more like a studio

Yes I consider it the worst game I've ever played, and it even convinced me to ignore news on new games cause it's all hyping bullshit.

alot less driving. have the enemies guns jam. have the guys you are working for not try to kill you. A much better story and ending.

I liked the driving aspect of the game, although the respawning outposts were not appreciated. I'd like to see them create a more lively world, with wildlife that can kill you, other mercenaries, factions that you can increase or decrease your friendliness with depending on your actions and an actual economy. I liked FC2 and the environment I played in, but as a whole it felt a little static.

I'd like to see improved AI too, stealth didn't work too well in FC2, and as a result I was forced to kill people and then spend 30 seconds hiding until they went back to the unaware status. I still kinda enjoyed it, and there were times where I could fully sneak through a base with a silenced pistol and kill everyone silently, but they weren't very frequent and most times I'd kill maybe two or three people silently, and then everyone would know where I was.

The multiplayer was fun on FC2, me and my friend always played on this one map where we could roll IED's down a hill and kill people as they came up, getting us 30 kills a game each and stopping our snipers from being flanked. I'd like to see more of that.. but I also want Predator mode back, I don't care if it doesn't have anything to do with the story. Predator mode from FC1 was fucking intense, I've never played anything like it. I used to play it in split screen mode all the time, and it always made us scream like little girls as our pad vibrated like crazy, and we saw some guy jumping the fuck around ready any second to insta kill someone with his bad, creepy animations. It was so unbelievably scary, bring back Predator!

Once a vehicle checkpoint has been destroyed, it stays freaking destroyed! It made travelling around on FC2 almost unbearable.

Do you want FC3 to happen?

Eh... I wouldn't be opposed to it, but I wouldn't be jumping for joy, if you know what I mean.

What would be your initial interest level in FC3?

On a scale of 1-10? Eh, about a 5 (Average).

What would you like to see in FC3 to have it improve on FC2?

How about not making it so that everyone in Africa wishes to run out off the road and kill you on sight? That was my biggest problem with the game. The long travel would have been bearable if every time you drove within 300 yards of an enemy they didn't drop everything they were doing, get in a jeep, round up all their friends and go on a you-hunt.
Really, it doesn't even make sense. They attack you so quickly that they wouldn't even have enough time to tell if you were a friendly or not, especially at night. What, do these factions just tell their soldiers, "If it moves, it dies."? I'm surprised they all haven't killed each other.

Pff, all they needed to do was to improve the mission system and the A.I., and the game could get around an 80% from me. But now, it has a measily 50%

the one thing they need to do is dump the sand box and make a proper single player FPS with a plot

I wish the fire would keep going and not stop after 20 seconds.
I wish the story was better, honestly I just shot the people who shot at me and just played along.
I wish stealth was in the game.
I wish that guard points don't respawn every minuet.
I wish people could not see you as easily. I had that problem while sniping from miles away that they would always know where I am.

That's alll I can think of at the moment but there is more.
No stealth? Did we play different games? During nighttime I macheted way more ppl than I shot.
Also I didn't have a problem with NPCs having the all seing Eye of Sauron (except one ************ with a mortar sitting on a sniper position by that huge ass lake, making every boat trip a fucking thrill filled adventure. Luckily the mortar guys always shot a tracer first, so if you carried a sniper rifle, you could easily pick them of.)

But the respawning guards gotter go. And the "factions" that kept shooting at you no matter if you were on their team or not. And the stupid wildlife that someone hadn't scripted to avoid cars. Also woulda been nice having civies around (besides the ones scripted in cutscenes).

Yeah and weapons should be more balanced. 7.62 does not do less damage than a .22
And the weapon degrade system should be better, it was way too lazy coded (emptying a mag made the weapon "age", meaning the one-shot sniper was useless after 10-15 shots).

Initially I despised my friend for making me buy it but later I realized that the game was quite fun. I enjoyed the environment and most of the gameplay but I despised the fact that there was no real stealth mode. I was always found and was forced to pull out a shotgun or something. A Co-Op mode would have been awesome. I also hated the respawning guard posts.

I actually forgot about the health system. That's no more unrealistic than either regenerating health or the 'I can run at full capacity even though I'm 1HP away from death' health bar system.

I want Far Cry 3, as in a proper Far Cry 1 sequel.

I found Far Cry 2 great, granted it did take me a while to get into it but id love to see Far Cry 3
One of the things with FC2 is that the location was gorgeous
I hope they keep that if they do make FC3
But yeah the regenerating guard posts did get a bit annoying, regenerate too quickly.

Loved the first game. The second I pre ordered and wish I hadn't. It was the game that actually stopped me pre ordering games as now I have learnt not to buy into all the hype and hang back a couple of weeks after release.

I really, really want FC3.

While FC2 was definitely a flawed game, the concept was amazing to me. If they change the mission structure and take some hints from other open-world games like GTA/Fallout.

Also, I'd love if they brought it back to a tropical setting, or why not a winter-landscape?
