You can tell people are just dying for news or controversy when they really dig for these things to make sense. Now I understand that the whole it could insult fat people, and make kids think that all these people do is eat all day like the fat princess.
Though it wont make anyone want to be fat, I mean how often do you want to mimic the uncool character? If anything youd want to be the protagonist...so thats pointless right away. Fat people are also already a social no-no in everything else, so im pretty sure kids will get enough counter messages against being fat/obese/overeating elsewhere. Think about it, is being fat ever portrayed as ok? not really...I mean the most common insults stem from weight for many people. I think thats wrong but im just saying what I see

I love how the only two people who actually complain about obescity in children are both fat themselves the game isnt responsible stop wheeling fast food into your children and lose some weight yourself set an example like a parent is supposed to do.

You know what, stop giving your kids twinkies and running to MickyD's every time they cry as you pass one. It takes active effort to make most kids gain weight, some sadly do actually have a problem, but most have such a high metabolism that they can eat normal foods all day long and never gain weight.

I'd say it's more likely to cause them to develop a fat fetish than to overeat.
Granted, it's a pretty good bet if you spend a lot of time sedentary playing games you'll be a bit overweight. I know I am.

This game seems.....dumb at best. I wont play it for that reason, but not because I think it will have a negative impact.

Modern journalism is all about generating the most attention- grabbing stories in the greatest quantity. In that regard it's probably no different than any other health scare story. I really doubt the person who made the report actually believes a word of it. They know its all tosh.
I once heard on a radio show that some woman thought that, since Santa Clause is a role-model, he should be thin so kids won't want to be fat like Santa.
