Grunt. ME1 got me a wee bit addicted to killing thresher maws on foot. (Shep's an Akuze survivor.) And you get to head-butt a Krogan. Insta-win.

It has to be Tali's. The implications of your actions there will surely have huge implications on the 3rd game. Even Tali's zealous hatred of the Geth can be placated when she and legion face off. It makes me think that they and the Geth could even be allies.

I'm rambling. In short I just love the quarians. They are my favourite race by far.

It's a tough choice, really. I enjoyed all of the loyalty missions.

If I had to pick one though, I would have to say Legion's. I thought it was really interesting how you learn that the Geth really aren't this brutal race of sentient machines, and that those are just heretics being controlled by some computer virus. Also, I totally want the Geth as allies in ME3.

Mordin's was awesome, i mean the very notion that the genophage could be cured by Shepard in ME3 or beyond is amazing to me.
Jacob's had a very "Lord of the Flies" feel to me.
Miranda's, Jack's, and Grunt's were pretty standard (run here shoot that). I didn't really like Zaeed at all.
Samara's was a nice change of pace, as was Thane's as they didn't really take any shooting at all.
Tali's was easily the best though. Very emotional and proves Shepard's Loyalty to Tali. Her loyalty mission is basically begging you to do Tali's romance in ME2. I mean, having Tali as the romance partner seems like the most logical way to go given the history between her and Shepard.

Tali's for emotion, Thane's for not solving every problem with killing something, Legion's and Mordin's for back story and more complex moral decisions...

And Grunt's, for sheer badass-ness. And killing a Thresher Maw without the assistance of the Mako.
[small] Survive for 4.5 minutes? That's ages! Killing the Thresher Maw is the only way through that bit[/small]

Mordin's

Before the mission, I was already starting to like Mordin. He mostly felt like a humorous character, with his quirky method of talking. Then we actually see some major character development during his mission. Seeing his justification and reaction to the genophage was really emotional. The voice actor did an amazing job. Mordin became one of my favorite characters during that mission. His internal conflict actually felt very realistic.

And unlike a different squadmate, he didn't ruin it by pointing a gun at another squadmate afterwards.

Mordin or Tali. both were pretty emotionally interesting, especially the scene with Mordin seeing the 'patient' on the table... Really gave some insight into his role in those events, and his mindset.

I also liked Legion's loyalty mission, as it allowed for a pretty tricky choice, in my eyes.

Either Legions, Jacks, or Zaeed. I don't like Zaeed, but his mission was fun enough. It was also not predictable.

So I'm the only one really enjoying Legions quest?

Great moral choices between getting a potential future ally, but butching it up with Tali or throwing a ally away and missing out on geth tech.

That and a good view into the geth race.

Jacks quest was pretty cool also, but a bit predictable. I wish it had more background on Cerberus or incriminating data or something.
Exactly the same thoughts. Legion`s quest was straight up kill`em all with a twist and was really fun. Jack`s could have been much better but it at least kept me awake to see it through. Samara`s reminded me of a quest in KOTOR 2 but did so in a good way so that get`s points too.

Legion's and Mordin's all the way. Best ethical choices in the game.

But is that not just Battlestar Galatica syndrome ?

Garrus and Miranda had the best endings
But I also really liked Tali's and Legion's quest because fighting geth is fun and also you get to know more about the geth and the quarians

Tali's for the epic moment where I got to call the judges out. And also Jack's, because it made me look at her differently.

Bit of a joke, see quarians are the race of beings which were kicked off their homeworld by the race of machines who rebelled and now live in a fleet of ships. You know, the plot to battlestar galatica...

*High five* Me neither. I hear the ending's shit though, so that might not be a bad thing.

Tali and Zaeed.

Tali's mission offered really tense close quarters combat (on Insanity, at any rate) which included lots of opportunities for flanking and being completely overrun by Geth Hunters. Add to that a poignant character-related story development (I wasn't a Talihugger at all before playing her Loyalty mission but now I really want her to return in ME3) and the intriguing court scene and you got a superb package which ranks among the best side missions Bioware has ever produced.

Unlike a lot of other ME2 quests, Zaeed's mission offers a genuinely consequential Paragon/Renegade choice (save the civilians or hunt down Vido Santiago) and combines this with a spectacular final battle scenario and some amazing-looking early backdrops (that jungle valley has got to be the single most good-looking environment in the entire game). Also, it doesn't hurt that voice actor Robin Sachs' performance is one of the best in the game.
