Title says all.

I really like the Clayface battle from Arkham City.

Batman. Has. A. FUCKING SWORD.

Seriously, Batman with a sword.

Planescape: Torment. Nameless one v. Transcendent one. Mostly because the "best" ending is accomplished by being really smart and talking your way out.

But for one where I'm required to hit someone... I'll have to steal your answer because sword wielding Batman is just kind of badass.

From more recent games, Dark Souls has two of my favorites

Just love the music from both those fights.

Good choice. I'm going to have to go with this one too.

I liked the ones in Human Revolutions too.

No, not those ones. The ones where you talk to people.

Yeesh. What's with that ridiculously obtrusive HUD?

Type D No. 5 (aka Big Red) from Armored Core V. After spending 3 minutes of firing some of the most high powered ordinance in the game and watching every single shell bounce off its armor can leaves one quite intimidated for the first few play throughs

Might be cheating since it's an MMO, but World of Warcraft probably had my favourite boss battles. I only ever raided 'seriously' around when the first expansion named Burning Crusade came out, but I have to admit while it lasted it was damned fun and some of those boss fights were extremely well designed. Even though I must have done the place around two dozen times or so, I still enjoyed Karazhan each time, just a fantastic place.

Tempest Keep also stands out as extremely memorable. Kael'Thas in particular was just a mammoth challenge with so many different fight phases and mechanics fighting him alone was a dungeon unto itself!

Haven't done any raids or even played the game regularly for around two years now so I've no clue whether the new content is any good, but Burning Crusade and what I played of Wrath of the Lich King were fantastic in terms of boss fights.

This robot boss in Metroid Prime 2-
Before Monster Hutner Tri and Shadow of a Collossus, that boss is one of the new giant size bosses I had ever faced.

Another Joe
I love a boss fight when the boss seen to be equel to you (aperance wise) but has some tick up their sleeves. Also it has a kick ass soundtrack!

Henry
Same reason as above however get got an kickass instant killed attack (look up No More Heroes Henry Instant Kill on Youtube)

Does anyone remember that one boss from Chrono Trigger: It was a green monster sage-thing in Magus' Castle. It had a barrier around it that made it impervious to direct attacks so you just had to attack the chains holding up the platform it was standing on so he would fall to his death?

That whole "Defeat the boss by manipulating the environment" blew my goddamn mind back when I was a kid!

The flying boss in the desert from Shadow of the Colossus or The End from MGS3. Both of those still stand out to me even now.

From Spyro 2, Ripto's Arena. That has a wholly new flashiness to it! And 3 stages!
From Spyro 3, Scorch's pit. Cool weapons, awesome boss, great music and he summons Buzz. Holy mother of god Scorch was the "Monster to end all monsters".

Not so much the battle, but the Boss Dingodile from Crash Bandicoot 3 is just such a cool guy....

From TS3, Princess is pretty awesome, but this time it's purely aesthetic.

The Feeble from Croc: Legend of the Gobbos. Why something so simple (and, to be honest, bad.) sticks with me so well, I'll never know. Maybe it's just that bland, yet powerful music that plays while you fight him? I think it's nostalgia.

Oh, and how could I forget the Rainbow Butterfly from Dark Chronicle? Every playthrough I look forward to that boss in particular. So nice to look at, great music, insane arena (A giant, gooey flower? Seriously wtf) and, most importantly, dynamic.

Probably Trypticon from Transformers: War for Cybertron.

The dude is like, three different levels. You fight inside him, in space, crashing through the atmosphere, and then on the ground. It was the last boss fight that really had me feeling like I was fighting an epic battle.

The Lich King. There wasn't really any mechanics that we hadn't seen before, but I enjoyed the cruelty of him be able to defile and call valkyr at the same time.

To explain: defile requires the raid to spread out or it's a wipe.

The valkyr requires the raid to stack in the middle or they will pick up a player, carry them to the edge and drop them to their death.
