Favorite Final Fantasy character? Why?

For me? Seto; Nanaki's (Red XIII) father.

Why? A few reasons, really. The scene that Nanaki learned the truth was...actually one of the most heart wrenching moments in the game (The only one, probably...). Selflessly giving his life in an attempt to save his tribe and family, lying to his son so that said son wouldn't throw himself at the enemy in an attempt at revenge...

That is a true show of bravery.

That's where you're wrong, buddy. What about Choco and Boko from FFIX and FFV (respectively)? They were chocobos, WITH names! The only reason I'm enforcing this is because it's my choice. Without these two, you couldn't have done everything in their games.

Tidus. He's a real happy-go-lucky kinda guy, he's freaking awesome.

Auron wins by far simply because of two things.

1) He fights one-handed and still manages to be one of the stronger characters.

2) He carries his liquor with him everywhere.

Those alone make him the greatest. I don't even need to get into his story.

I have to admit, I haven't played X in a long time, and even then I didn't get far in it. That, and I think the way Kingdom Hearts II presented him in combat threw me off.

Cloud: When he gets pierced by Sephiroth he just pulls himself closer to him. Just to be able to hit him. Not bad.

Sephiroth: Just Evil. Also he got his reasons too.

Tidus: Without a second thought he just ends up beating up a GOD MONSTER. Takes some guts to fight one of those monsters you know.

Squall: Emo and adorable.

Terra in Esper form:....hmm.

FF1 Fighter: Sword-nun-chucks is an awesome idea.

Zack from crisis core, but even more than that, I would have to say Laguna from Final Fantasy 8, because he is generally just a better person than Squall, sure Squall has a gunblade, but then so does that other guy. Laguna has a really awesome gun and he is a really sound guy throughout the game.
