Favorite game that none of your friends played?

Pretty much all my favorite games. Lone Survivor is at the moment, my favorite. But even before when games such as New Vegas and DJ Hero were my favorite none of my friends played them. It sucks being a 14 year old, since all your other friends play is COD and Fifa.
Oof, I actually go through this a lot because I'm spastic about trying various Free to Play and indie games. I think my most recent highlight would have to be an FPS called Blacklight: Retribution. Neat little FPS, but I'm an absolute stranger on it, and the menus and interfaces aren't really conducive for making friends.
My biggest complaint, though, is that I often get into multiplayer games well after everyone stops. Consequently, is anyone looking for someone to play Magicka or Payday: The Heist with?

Since none of my friends play anymore the list is about 15 years long. The psn list with unknown pals doesn`t really count. Don`t know them, not my friends.
The Dead Space games. They're not exactly under-the-radar sort of games, but for some reason none of my friends have actually played them. One of them technically owns a copy of Dead Space 1 that he hasn't even played from a Steam sale, and I got my boyfriend to play some of my copy of Dead Space 2, but that's it. Call of Duty 4 as well, oddly enough. Most of my gamer friends are either PC gaming types or JRPG fans that wouldn't be caught dead playing a bland modern shooter, which is what they write Call of Duty 4 off as. Hard to fault them for it, though; I did too until I saw Yahtzee's shockingly glowing review of it.
Could be worse; I could have friends that refused to play anything cerebral or experimental. Friends that refuse to play anything that seems too safe and mainstream is a far better alternative to that kind of close-mindedness, so I consider myself lucky to have all the hipster and weeaboo friends that I have.

Hmmm... it is with some trepidation that I say: Fighting Steel... it was a naval simulator with really, really, really, really, really, shite graphics and no scenery whatsoever, but the sound effects were pretty good and the projectile tracking gimmick was kinda fun. *shrug*

Hogs Of War
A rediculously racist game about sterotypical WW1 and 2 era countries as armies of pigs fighting over the continent of Saustralasia for it's reserves of Swill.
Hilarious dialogue, fantastic gameplay (think Worms 3D, only good) and enjoyable from start to finish.
Then they canceled the sequel.

Tenchu. Evidently, nobody in the entire world other than me plays Tenchu games. Oh and Disciples as well. I have a couple of friends that are HOMM players; no Disciples players though.
Most of my friends only play CoD and Halo.
I only have two friends that play more then that (I hardly see them both but I enjoy our conversations about games). One friend is reluctant to try games I suggest to him and the other will regard everything as shit and only plays a few games (Borderlands, GTA etc.).

On topic, an indie game called the Void. Very few people I know have played this game and its so...good. I'll admit it's hard as hell to beat but its beautifully crafted, in an interesting world and all in all I'm just in love with it
Once again I truck out "Little King's Story". Once again my post in met by crickets. For the love of god. Somebody play this great game.
FFIX, one of the most amazingly well made games of all time (in my opinion) and none of my friends have played it, I tried getting one of them to have a go using the two player mode, but he found the turn based combat and the fact that you had to grind boring, so he gave up on it. It just upsets me that my friends are missing out on the great story because of silly things like turn based combat, or limited graphics.

Yep. I'm with that group. That's the majority of my food for a week dude. The rest stands though. This is what bargain bins are for. And sometimes I'm pleasantly surprised. The trick is to not have AAA expectations of every game. I started Dragon Age with such unhappy feelings because I didn't really like how weird the combat was at first. Then I just let that gripe go and loved the game afterwards because I stopped expecting perfect.Nasrin said:
