Freyja, the norse goddess of love and fertility, but also of war, death, magic and wealth.

Freyja also receives half of the spirits of warriors who had died bravely in battle and is the Mistress of the Valkyries. The half that goes to Odin are "the offensive", or those who dedicate their life to fighting and looting. Freyja?s warriors are "the defensive", or those who only fight to protect their families or clans or the property thereof.

Ah, I agree, and am glad someone else knows a thing or too about Norse Mythology.

Norse Mythology is great but Freyja would not be my first pick. I dunno if you'd consider her a goddess but my favorite Female Mythological figure would be Hel. Hel one of Loki's offspring and sort of ruler in the Underworld (also called Hel)

Furrina, the Roman Goddess of...actually no one knows. The Romans celebrated her festival every year but soon forgot what she was the goddess of.
