What if the USA never joined WW2?
The war would've lasted a little longer.
It would've lasted considerably longer. Japan would've had free reign in the Pacific considering their vast aviation superiority over the British and the Russians being tied up in the west. The Russians would've had to make their own logistics train instead of getting most of the vehicles shipped to them by the Americans, lowering tank production, and the USAAF wouldn't have been keeping part of the Luftwaffe tied up over Germany (the RAF was working at night so German day fighters wouldn't have been nearly as useful and so could've been sent to Russia). Add in the unlikelihood of anything like Normandy succeeding as a pure British endeavor (almost all the landing ships were of American manufacture). But that's a moot point seeing as the British would almost assuredly have lost the Battle of the Atlantic without American production (long range Liberators, escort carriers and merchantmen). In short, the war would've been much uglier, and all bets are off whether Germany or Russia would've won (My money's on Russia because of their better industrial practice, but Germany would've had a good chance).

What if the Enola Gay never dropped the Atomic bomb
I was thinking that. The war probably would have lasted a lot longer, but I'm guessing a fuckton more Japanese civillians would be alive.
The atomic bombs didn't actually kill that many people compared to what the invasion plans would likely have done, and when you consider the breadth of the Japanese draft at the time. Also, the plan to really wrack up Japanese infrastructure to prepare for the invasion would have killed millions through starvation, most likely. So a lot more people would've died.
What I want to know is what would've happened if Germany'd won WWI, especially if they'd done so at the Marne. What would've resulted from a quick WWI that didn't sour most of Europe on modern war? If the Europeans had been able to keep thinking that the Russo-Japanese war turned into a stalemate because of both sides' incompetence? I'm guessing a really really ugly war in the 30's with more automatic firepower and without the doctrines or gear to break a deadlock.
