Was listening to some death metal tracks and enjoyed it somewhat.
Anybody in the community have any suggestions for my next metal listen?
If you want, give a short reason why you like metal.

EDIT: best death metal band I've found so far is Heaven Shall Burn, check it out.
Well the best death metal band is Behemoth and you should seriously check them out:D just remember that they started black and now are more death so the older the album the more black it is. No one can deny Inferno on the drums :D

GWAR.

I wish there were more Mysticism Metal bands. Y'know, metal bands who make songs about magic and wizards and dragons and the like. Sorta like Dio.

I really like Mudvayne, Drowning Pool, Disturbed, Slipknot (especially the new album) and Avenged Sevenfold.

Cancer Bats and Mortification have gotten my attention recently, but the vocals get a bit tiring if I try to listen to too much at one time (I listen to metal for the instrumentals more than the vocals).

Cradle Of Filth(Cruelty brought thee orchids must be the greatest song ever)
My Dying Bride(Dark, depressing and filled with atmosphere)
Emperor(Black metal with clean singing and melodic parts)
Dark Tranquillity(Melodic death at its' best)
Hypocrisy(One of the most exprimental death metal acts ever. The album Virus is one of the greatest albums of all time.Imo)
Winds of plague(deathcore with keyboard. It's not as bad as it seems)
Dark Funeral(One of the few black metal bands that have the cojones to write a balad)

Trails of Anguish (Chaotic and misanthropic BM featuring the mighty Scythrawl)
Dirge (Sludge/doom, really atmospheric)
Rosetta (Much like Dirge, a bit more melodic and spacey)
Vlad Tepes (Classic BM)
Deathspell Omega (Probably my hands-down favourite, "Si Momentum Requires, Circumspice" is a must-have)
Revenge (Warlike BM in the vein of Blasphemy [evidently as it mostly comprises of Blasphemy members])
Aryan Blood (Pure Nazi BM. Awesome stuff)
Kriegsmaschine (Polish BM. "Altered States of Divinity" is an amazing album)

I'm all about atmosphere when it comes to metal, hence why I like BM and Sludge rather than wankery thrash and DM.
