The 5th Element is obscure?

Hmm... well some of my more obscure favorites are:

He Died With a Felafel in his Hand- Starring Noah Taylor, the geeky sidekick from the Laura Croft films
Fido- what happens when zombies are adapted for use as pets
Serendipity- Not sure as to how obscure that is
High Fidelty- Still not sure but it was an awesome movie based on an awesome book
Taxi- The original French movie. It was funny as hell.
Bon Cop, Bad Cop- A very good lesson in swearing in Quebecois French

Edit: Also loved Requiem for a Dream and Hard Candy (Ellen Page is a hottie)

Let the Right One In, a 2008 Swedish Horror Film, so there's the obscure part.

It's such a dramatic and emotionally satisfying movie, and I recommend it to anyone.
I loved that film. I recently watched it because I needed a break from everybody cramming sparkly vamps down my throat.

backdoor sluts 9 Probably V For Vendetta, it's not that obscure, but most people haven't heard of it.
Hmm...I don't know anyone who hasn't seen it, but maybe that's just the anarchistic company I keep about me.

Mine would be The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai Across the 8th Dimension. Not only has no one heard of it, but I've tried showing it to people and they all hate it. Which makes me sad. Because it is fantastic and mildly mind fucky. RED LECTROIDS ARE LOVE!

Seriously? Man, I see it on TV at least once a month. Every time I sit down to watch it though, I accidentally fall asleep after the first twenty minutes. It's not boring, it's just always on late at night.

Seen some good movies on here, but am I the only one who's seen "Jesus Christ Vampire Slayer," or "Cannibal: The Musical!"?

BY FAR

As for mine, I would have to go with Mulholland Drive.

True that. Let the Right One in was Great. None of this new-age Twilight sissy vamp crap.
I agree. The only reason I even read the books was so I could argue with other people how bad the books were and quote what they were trying to use. Sad... but yes, Let the Right One in was amazingly bloody and just plain awesome, almost sickening in it's portrayal of Eli. Also got me thinking. After you see what happens to Eli's former assistant, it really makes you feel a twang of sorrow at the end of the film concerning the young boy. Altogether, I'd say that movies don't give you that darkness much anymore which is why I found this one to be so refreshing.

Oh, and not a slam against Mormons but The Twilight series really seams to be mostly Mormon propaganda. i saw a really funny joke page that compared the books with the books of Mormon and it was quite startling how many similarities there were.

Uh... Mirrormask? Or Das Boot, if that counts as obscure, it's probably extremely popular. At least it should be.
Mirrormask and Labyrinth are EXCELLENT obscure movies by Jim Henson, also Strange Brew.
Got Strange Brew for Christmas one year on VHS. It's the only time I've though Canadians were funny.
