I've always rather liked the brand of happy-go-lucky, jolly hockeysticks philosophy espoused by P.G. Wodehouse through the character of one Bertram Wilberforce Wooster. =)
Hahahahaha. I too think Wooster is quite the character.

I'm not a fan of any particular philosopher, but I do like Kant.

Brilliant. And if you hadn't had mentioned it, I would have been sorely disappointed in the many people on here who haven't heard the song by Monty Python.

I love Sartre and Kant.
I always disliked Descartes because of his attempts to prove the existence of God.
He proved God exists by assuming he exists.

Albert Camus. I like his essay "Myth of Sisyphus". You could charge him with being a bit lightweight on the philosophy, but I think I prefer it that way than the usual obtuse language.

Friedrich Nietzsche. His original work obviously before his sister got to it.
But Voltaire comes a close second.
With Vetenari third.

Karl Marx ALL THA WAY!!! KILL THE CAPITALISTS!! LONG LIVE THE PROLETARIATE!!!

lol. Well okay, I don't really believe that. But I agree with many of his ideas mentioned in the Communist Manifesto. Many good Socialist ideas are in there and some are even being put into practice by most Democratic governments.

I also like Jean-Jacques Rousseau for his "Social Contract" (Le Contrat Social). A very good book if you guys haven't studied or read it I would recommend it. (A condenced version though, it's a bit long and can get tedious after a while otherwise.)

I like Aristotle and Buddha.

My favorite is Ayn Rand, though. Yeah, say what you want--I liked her before BioShock came out. Her epistemology and political and psychological theories are the most convincing I've found. By psychological theories, by the way, I'm referring to explanations for human behavior and boundaries of morality.
