Bloody Roar Primal Fury. Personally, this was the best of the Bloody Roars. Better graphics fast loading, better voice acting.

I like both of those games. But I don't think either of them are really underrated.

Mine would have to be Dark Messiah of Might and Magic.

A tip of the hat for the mentions of Earthbound and Zone of the Enders.

Also, Garou: Mark of the Wolves, the SNES version of Shadowrun, and I think I can safely call the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. games underrated.

Arcanum: Of Steamworks and Magick Obscura
Dead Rising
Psychonauts

While I know Dead Rising is pretty new game and pretty popular I still hear many people saying it's "mediocre" when it in case is FABULOUS! Best Zombie killing game ever! Until Dead Rising 2 comes out of course (they'd better not fuck it up D:< ).

EDIT: S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series too like GeekArt said. Thanks for reminding.

I shall come out and say Viva Pinata.[sup]Yeah, I'm as shocked as you are.[/sup]
It is not just a kid's game, it is a deep, engaging game with a management game with a food chain system hidden beneath the cutesy graphics.
It makes you think a hell of a lot.

Bayonetta
Prince of Persia 2008
Are recent ones that come to mind. Not that these games are generally overlooked but I feel that they get more dislike than warranted.

That game is my choice. It's truly a fun experience.

Psychonauts
The entire Myst series (I have yet to meet another human being who has even heard of this series)

War of the Monsters (pretty much the only fighting game I've had lasting amounts of fun with)

The Overlord series

Sacrifice (first I heard of it was when it arrived on Steam)

Assassin's Creed 1 (I still don't understand why so many people hate it)
