Dead Rising

While I know Dead Rising is pretty new game and pretty popular I still hear many people saying it's "mediocre" when it in case is FABULOUS! Best Zombie killing game ever! Until Dead Rising 2 comes out of course (they'd better not fuck it up D:< ).

EDIT: S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series too like GeekArt said. Thanks for reminding.
YAY! Someone other than me who speaks of Dead Rising's glory. I have played that game at least a dozen times and will likely play it a dozen more.

You get +1 to your zombie disemboweling skill.

God Hand, made by the now defunct Clover Studios.

But now they're Platinum Games, so maybe I can hope for a God Hand 2? ^^

Shadow of the Colossus and Killer 7 are underrated? I thought they were hailed as pieces of art..

Mirror's Edge, though everyone seems to love it despite the dubious reviews.

Watchmen: The End Is Nigh (I & II); For sheer brutality
Overlord (I & II); For the comic view of the classic fantasy world
Stubbs the Zombie; Because of the fun twist on the zombie genre
Godfather: (I & II) For immersive stories, good gameplay and violence

Zone of the enders, and until recently, Psychonauts. The recent boom in its mainstream popularity really means it can't be considered underrated any more.

Mafia - I dunno, it's always been critically acclaimed but I've never seen it overly mentioned by other gamers.

It's also my favourite game which is rather annoying.

The Warriors on PS2. My favourite beat em up ever. Story mode was average, but multiplayer was sweet.

I'll agree that the first Godfather is underrated, but the second got exactly the respect it deserved. It wasn't a bad game, it was just way too easy. You could stand in the middle of the street and shoot cops as long as you wanted too, without ever dying or even retreating.

I was going to say Arcanum, but apparently many other people remember it too. Vampire Masquerade 2 was better though, in fact it's one of the best games I ever played. Troika in general just did not get what was coming to them.

I'll just say Farcry 2, since so many people shit on a game I thought was really fun. It wasn't a movie/game hybrid like many shooters, and it gets slammed for not having a story. I enjoyed the fact that you didn't have some noble quest, you were just trying to save your own ass. The exploration was great, and while there were hidden packages, the real point of exploring was to become a more effective killer. Or to avoid getting ambushed.

EDIT Scarface was pretty fun. But fuck that end mission. Fuck it HARD.

Terranigma (Snes)
Sparkster (Snes)
Donkey Kong (Gameboy)
Wario Land 2 (Gameboy)
Yggdra Union - We will never fight alone (Gameboy Advance)

Well, can't think of more.

Every game on here got a high rating, though wasn't the most popular. This happens all too often.

Stronghold.
Vampire the Masquerade:Bloodlines.
Psychonauts

heavy Gear 2

I guess that makes three of us! Although I wouldn't say that it's a "pretty new game" considering that it's over three years old. I have seriously played that game through over a dozen times though. It's just too easy to save all the survivors and complete all the scoops now. Do you ever find yourself deliberately taking measures to make the game harder?
