A tip of the hat for the mentions of Earthbound and Zone of the Enders.

Also, Garou: Mark of the Wolves, the SNES version of Shadowrun, and I think I can safely call the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. games underrated.
I have both S.T.A.L.K.E.R games & i love them, i still play both of them now!

The entire Myst series (I have yet to meet another human being who has even heard of this series)

War of the Monsters (pretty much the only fighting game I've had lasting amounts of fun with)

The Overlord series

Sacrifice (first I heard of it was when it arrived on Steam)

Assassin's Creed 1 (I still don't understand why so many people hate it)
I played one of the MYST series can't for the life of me tell you which one, maybe 4?

Any of the Discworld games, apart from NOIR, they were amazing point & click adventures & were voice acted by Eric Idle of Monty Python fame ^-^

Oh god yes, War of the Monsters, i still play it with some of my friends cause we both remember how awesome it was and still is.

Too Human, it was fun, waaay to short but the gameplay section was really, really fun.

Drawn to life (DS)

Nightmare Before Christmas: Oogies revenge (Ps2, Xbox)

Etrian Odyssey (DS)

i haven't heard people talk much about these games, so for me they fall under underrated and still fall under awesome

If its the one where you are trying to rescue the little girl, then yeah. If its the one where you're trying to rescue Atrus's wife, then its Riven (the 2nd game). The original Myst game was purely exploration and puzzle-solving. The 3rd game had you chasing after a stolen Linking Book. And the 5th had you trudging around the ruins of D'ni.

It was Riven, thank you :)
