Michael Bell as Raziel in Soul Reaver. Just the most awesome tone self riteous indignation and pretention that made the character.

pick anyone from mass effect 2.

done.

srsly, BioWare is good at picking voice actors.
Uh... what about Male Shepard? He has the stiffest line delivery I've ever seen, which becomes even more apparent when he's paired with the entire rest of the cast.
I know that there are definitely some Mass Effecters out there who don't like Mark Meer as MaleShep, but I think he's great. He can sound compassionate and noble for Paragon lines, and sound like a badass (and a total dick sometimes lol) for Renegade lines.

Besides Mark Meer, I think almost any character from any Bioware game. Great voice actors plus great facial animation really help the immersion factor.

Here's some I came up with off the top of my head, plus some examples:

Johnny Yong Bosch (Ichigo Kurosaki from Bleach)
Scott Menville (Robin from Teen Titans, Lloyd Irving from Tales of Symphonia)
Mark Hamill (The Skeleton King from Super Robot Monkey Team Hyper Force Go, the Joker from Batman: the Animated Series)
Steven Jay Blum (Spike Spiegel from Cowboy Bebop, Jamie from Megas XLR, TOM 2-4 from Toonami)
Tara Strong (Timmy Turner from Fairly Oddparents, Raven from Teen Titans, Sari from Transformers Animated)
Jennifer Hale (Sheena Fujibayashi from Tales of Symphonia, Sam from Totally Spies)
Dante Bosco (Prince Zuko from Avatar: The Last Airbender, Jake Long from American Dragon Jake Long)
Brad Swaile (Lan Hikari from Megaman: NT Warrior, Light Yagami from Death Note)
David Kaye (Megatron from Beast Wars, Optimus Prime from Transformers Animated)
Peter Cullen (Optimus Prime from Transformers)
Vic Mignoga (Edward Elric from Fullmetal Alchemist, Tamaki Suou from Ouran High School Host Club)
Crispin Freeman (Regal Bryant from Tales of Symphonia, Thomas Norstein from Digimon Data Squad)
Kyle Hebert (Kamina from Tenga Toppen Gurren Lagann)
Dan Green (Yugi Moto and Yami from Yu-Gi-Oh)
Tom Kenny (Spongebob from Spongebob Squarepants, Raimundo from Xaolin Showdown)
Phil LaMarr (Jack from Samurai Jack)
Keith David (Goliath from Gargoyles, Dr. Facilier from the Princess and the Frog)

...And yes, I am aware that it's a fairly long list..

You sure this is search bar approved? I swear I saw this topic just last week. Something like "Best Voice Acting" or "Fav Anime Voice Actor" or something... sigh...

Anyway... Mark Hamill is high on the list as Joker. It's a shame he's retiring the voice (I dunno about retiring entirely) once Arkham City comes out later this year. I love that man and his crazy Joker-Laugh. But aside from Joker, he plays other evil characters in other animated works almost flawlessly. Oozai from Avatar, Hobgoblin in Spiderman, and many more (too many to list).

Another good one is Dave Wittenburg. The voice I know him best as is Kakashi from Naruto and I think he's one of the few voice actors that fit the dub characters in the series. But he seems to have a decent range based off some of the other characters I've seen. Plus, he's the announcer for Ninja Warrior on G4. Very nice.

Steve Blum ranks high for being Shishio, Zabuza, Orochimaru, and very many other deep-voiced maniacs/killers. He isn't my favorite, but the character's he plays are solid gold thanks to his voice. I kinda wanna go watch RuroKen just to see the Shishio episodes again right now.

I should also probably mention Dan Green. Aside from being joked about now and again on LittleKuriboh's Yu-Gi-Oh Abridged, he has many different roles in very many anime. Plus, he played a villain in the Pokemon movie (all of them from what I have read so far). Great stuff there.

That's my top 4. And the 5th slot will go to the internet-famous LittleKuriboh. If you don't know who he is or why, look up CardgamesFTW on Youtube or go to the Yu-Gi-Oh Abridged website. Lotta talent right there.

John Truitt as Ghaleon from LUNAR 1 & 2. God, what an amazing character and what an amazing job John did. The best part was, even though he was a villian, you could easily identify with Ghaleon on so many levels, it made him seem more than human.

I always liked the voice actor for the Doom guy, Gordon Freeman, Claude Speed, Jack Ryan, etc.

Too bad they replaced him on Dead Space 2, I wonder why he isn't Isaac Clarke anymore.

Now, on a more serious note, my favorites are John DiMaggio as Jack from Vampire the Masquerade Bloodlines (he also acts as Bender from Futurama), the whole cast from the Legacy of Kain series and some more games I cannot remember.

I too am aware of this man, another quality voice actor. He's been in almost as many games as Nolan North!

OT: What, no love for Paul Eiding anyone? Snake? SNAKE? SNAAAAAAAAKE!

Seriously though, my list would include:

Paul Eiding (Colonel Campbell and many more)
Jennifer Hale (The difinitive Commander Shepard and also Dr Naomi Hunter)
Andy Serkis (Gollum/Smeagol and recently Monkey)
Claudia Black (Yeah she's only really been in Uncharted 2 but come on... Aeryn Sun!)
Keeley Hawes (The most recent Lara Croft and awesome British actress)

ALSO: I'm pretty good with voices and can usually spot my favourite actors, even when their characters are very different. Jonathan Kydd appeared as a minor character in one episode of the UK TV series Jonathan Creek. I recognised his voice when watching the program and it bugged me because I was sure I'd heard him before. Some internet searching later and I found out he had voiced Hagrid and Peeves in the Harry Potter video games for the PS1... amazing what the internet and IMDB can do!

I am not sure of his name, but my favorite voice acting has to be the guy who played TOM on Toonami.

He has done a few video games and multiple animes.

He was Spike from Cowboy Bebop and Muugen from Samurai Champloo.

I am blanking on the game he starred in though...
That would be Steve Blum. He's also the voice of Vincent Valentine in the Final Fantasy VII Compilation among other roles; he's pretty prolific.

In any case, I don't have specific favorite voice actors ? aside from Steve Blum and Cripsin Freeman and possibly Kirk Thorton and Stephanie Sheh ? I tend to like games more for their voice acting. In which case, Tales of the Abyss and Tales of Symphonia (the first, not the second) are my two favorite games with great voice acting. Hm... other than that ? whatever you think of it ? that Final Fantasy VII compilation has extremely good voice acting, as does Kingdom Hearts...

I kind of wish that Silent Hill 2 had better voice acting, but I think that might have more to do with how sometimes the character's voices don't always line up with their mouth movements. :/

Nolan North always voices the same kinds of characters though. He's not versatile, he just works a lot. Also Sam Worthington is a terrible actor... if it was Sam ELLIOTT then I might care. Gary Oldman is the man though, no argument there.

Everyone knows that Mark Hamill's Joker voice is the best thing ever. The whole Batman crew in general, really. Also I could listen to anything by old British guys: Ian McKellan, Christopher Lee, Alan Rickman, etc.
