Favorite Zelda Game?

I spent the majority of that game just sailing around for fun, such a simple mechanic that brought so much enjoyment, it makes me sad that there isnt more games like that

Personally either Wind Waker or Skyward Sword. Those have both been my favorite games in the series.

Seasons and Ages were some of the best games I've ever played for a handheld, let alone on consoles. Great dungeons, puzzles, and interactivity.

Link's Awakening gets my honorable mention because it's fucking amazing...just saying.

Twilight Princess. It best encapsulates what makes Zelda so special. It has a huge world to explore, tons of dungeon, a wonderful aesthetic, a great sense of place to its world and blends nostalgia and new ideas perfectly. Quite honestly, it is probably my favorite game ever and holds so much nostalgia value to me.

A VERY close second would go to Ocarina of Time however.

OT: Wind Waker, hands down for me.

The aesthetic of the game has aged beautifully, the music is brilliant and I just adore the atmosphere of the whole thing.

Agreed. I love the sailing of the game too, from how the waves look to that whoosh thing that happens when your sail catches the wind, really makes it feel like a grand adventure. Also, I love being able to play the game again in Links pajamas

Spoiler: I wonder how Ganondorf feels about being beat by a kid wearing these

Ocarina used to be my #1 with Majora's Mask trailing right at it's heels, but Skyward Sword's combat was what made it my new #1. The sword control in Skyward Sword is absolutely awesome, it it exactly what the Wii was designed to be able to do right out of the box.

I'll still love all Zelda games for different things, and I still love them all because of how awesome they are, but Skyward Sword is my #1.
I think of Skyward Sword as +1 in every category that Ocarina excelled at.

A Link to the Past barely beats out OoT for me. in terms of 2d Zelda games, ALTTP has no competition whatsoever. Also, it gets a nod for inventing the two worlds gameplay that has been seen in OoT and many other Nintendo games since.
