I'm Canadian so technically American films are foreign. So I guess Pulp Fiction would be my favourite.

But If you mean non-North American films then Perfect Blue scores highest. Battle Royale and Shaun of the Dead are close runners-up.

My three favorites are Oldboy, Spirited Away, and Pan's Labyrinth. Then again, I don't watch too many foreign movies.

OT: Pan's Labyrinth was really good. Call it over-rated, but I saw it theaters and it looked fantastic on that big screen.
I'm with you on that. Also Princess Mononke, if Studio Ghibli films count.
I actually find PM to be underrated by Ghibli standards. I've seen Kiki, Totoro, Howl, Spirited Away, and Grave of the Fireflies on many a list of the best Ghibli films. Princess Mononoke was adored and was many peoples favorite back when it came out but half a decade later it's becoming ignored.

However, it's still loved by lots of people and Porco Rosso continues to get the shaft and remains the unsung and severely underappreciated masterpiece.

District 13 was a pretty cool French action film. It even had one of the guys that invented parkour in it.

I will cast another vote for Pan's Labyrinth, and I fucking loved Let the Right One In. I recommend that to everybody.

While I disagree with the notion that non-American films are inherently superior, I will say that JCVD and Kung Fu Hustle are some of my favorite movies, along with nearly anything by Studio Ghibli.

And Survive Style 5+ gets an honorable mention.

Franck Vestiel's Eden Log, Tarkovsky's Solaris/Stalker/The Mirror... Fritz Lang's Metropolis, Murnau's Nosferatu... and REC. All fantastic.

I'll have to cast my vote for Curse of the Golden Flower. Only movie where I've seen a father beat his son to death with a solid gold belt. Seriously.

I watched Children of Men with subtitles. Does that count?
Certainly enjoyed that movie :)
Did a study on that in Religion and Philosophy Class. :)

Other than that I would have to say Kung Fu Hussle was well worth the laugh. :)
Had the guys who did most of the stunts and moves/choreography in the matrix in it. xD
