Majoras Mask. Its an item, you kust never get to use it yourself. That thing was badass though. You try to bring the fucking moon down with a wooden mask. Its Hard!

I'd say the Giant's Knife from Ocarina, because my friend didn't know about Biggoron's Sword, and so when the Knife inevitably snapped he made the most hilarious "HNNNNNNNNGHHHHHHH" sound I've ever heard.

Shooting Keese with Ice Arrows was also mad cool, so it's a toss up between those two I suppose.

I am rather partial to the Double Clawshots, the Bow with Fire Arrows and the Master Sword and Hylian Shield. So, I don't know, I'm at a crossroads. Also, the 3 magical attacks that were almost useless in A Link To The Past were fairly cool, I'm sure girls would be impressed by me calling down lightning or causing an earthquake.

My current one is the double clawshot from Twilight Princess, but I may find that the tool may be replaced by the whip in Spirit Tracks (whatever it may be called).

-The Fairy Bow, because it shoots with the precision and velocity of a high-caliber rifle.
-The Bombchu, because they were awesomely impractical.

I'm surprised no one said it yet:

The Mastersword from A Link to the Past on the SNES.
DAAAAAMN! That 2D animation, the long time it took to get it, the new strenght.... all in your most used new best friend; your primary weapon. And THEN you get to upgrade it again TWICE

Drooling!

the ummm TINGLE TRACKER...isnt that what it's called...my god it was useless
I think you mean the Tingle Tuner, and you use it to hook up with your Gameboy for nonsensical tips from Tingle. Eh, you're right, it's useless.

My favorite items would have to be the Hookshot in ALttP (picture a nine-year-old kid giggling every time he opens a Big Chest hoping it's that extending grapple hook he saw in the manual :D ) and the Magnetic Gloves from Oracle of Seasons. Those were so underused, but SO cool.

I do agree with the Ball and Chain one; I loved lobbing that thing at trees and whatever else I could break. But since I like music themes, I'll choose the Ocarina. I can control time, control rain, summon horses, teleport (albeit only to certain places, but still), talk telepathically to a forest girl, summon scarecrows, release tormented souls from their suffering.

I thought it was really fun to use the hookshot in Link to the Past, particularly when you first got it.

I'm surprised no one's said the Dominion Rod yet. Well, I guess I'll be the first. It was incredibly impractical, but it made for a great 6th dungeon.

The fire rod from four swords adventures. There's something incredibly awesome about setting a field of grass on fire and watching your enemies burn :D
Plus, at level 2 it can create blocks that explode in fire.
along with that I'd go with the ocarina, and the wind waker. They're so damn useful.
