The eye of truth thing from Ocarina of Time that wasn't used nearly enough. It had so much more potential, so I guess its more my potentially favorite item rather than my actual favorite.

My favorite is the longshot from OoT. Absolutely nothing beats the joy of finally getting it after just having slogged through the first 1/2 of the Water Temple...when you're nine years old.

Hee hee hee, those were fun. Stand on one side of a pit and drag knights into it in one of the few examples of Zelda schadenfreude.

Only thing I can remember that compares to it was the ability to set people on fire in that Gameboy game... what was it called again?

Magical Sword

If anyone tries to correct me and say I meant Master Sword, then I will kindly ask them to step outside so that I might brain them with a copy of the original NES copy of The Legend of Zelda.
You sure you didn't mean the mas...*reads the rest of the post*...magical sword. That's exactly what I thought you said.

-The Fairy Bow, because it shoots with the precision and velocity of a high-caliber rifle.
-The Bombchu, because they were awesomely impractical.
If you got good with Bombchu's you became a god in that game though. I loved dropping them and watching them march off into infinity and explode at the shins of my target.

I do agree with the Ball and Chain one; I loved lobbing that thing at trees and whatever else I could break. But since I like music themes, I'll choose the Ocarina. I can control time, control rain, summon horses, teleport (albeit only to certain places, but still), talk telepathically to a forest girl, summon scarecrows, release tormented souls from their suffering.

The Hookshot (and its variations)
Oh, and the Fierce Deity mask. You get to shoot magical beams out of your massive double-helix sword! xD

The Iron Boots in Twilight princess, but only in light of the Goron Mines. You could Walk on the sides of walls and ceilings, for Navi's sake! Though why his shield doesn't get stuck to the damn things is beyond me.

The fire rod from four swords adventures. There's something incredibly awesome about setting a field of grass on fire and watching your enemies burn :D
Plus, at level 2 it can create blocks that explode in fire.
along with that I'd go with the ocarina, and the wind waker. They're so damn useful.
Er...Welcome to the Escapist? I think? I'm confused...is this your first post since you joined in october? Beyond that, The Fire Rod was totally badass.

Mine would be the Ocarina since its nice to try and come up with little tunes on it.

Either that or the Hookshot.

The underwater bombs from Twilight Princess
or..
The magic powder from Link's Awakening
or...
The All-night mask in Majora's Mask -- I mean, just look at it!

"You got the Magic Rod! Now you can burn things!"
Link's narrator should jump to the most evil conclusion more often. 'You got arrows! Remember to aim for the eyes!'

Also liked the Zora Mask and the Switch Hook.

The Ocarina! I loved playing that thing, like using the shoulder buttons to change the pitch and stuff. I have a real one too, it's fun.
