I would have to say Scyther or Jolteon.

Scyther was just plain awesome and Jolteon was my first eevee evolution and i've never regreated it.

Raticate. I grew a Rattata from lv 2 to 100, and my Raticate was hands-down my best pokemon. He dodged all the time, and he never missed. He got a ton of crits too. I also love the fact that Raticate is like a foot tall, but still can take down Dragonites, Charizards, etc.

Charizard ftw. Every game I played with the original I switched it on and off till I got my shiny Charmander. That way when it evolved it would be a Shiny Charizard. Why is charizard awesome you say? Because it's black when it's shiny and also because ITS POWER LEVEL IS OVER 9000!!!

Decently fast, and when properly built (i.e. had Thunderbolt, Double Kick, Pin Missle, and Quick/Sand Attack) had eight type advantages. And looked cool.

I think Vulpix or Ninetails would be close seconds.

Nidoking for a few reasons.

A) He was my first fully leveled pokemon other than Charizard.

B) There is only one type of move he can't learn...Grass...He can become a type sweeper of ANY kind.

C) One of the most annoying things in pokemon was getting poisoned. Nidoking can't become poisoned.

Charizard and Blastoise tie for second.
