By far throughout the entirety of the article I find this statement the most, uhhhh, endearing. Viewing any content related to ?military tactics? including manuals or ?revolutionary literature? is also considered a potential indicator of terrorist activity. Next thing you know they just might start burning books to keep ideas out of peoples heads.

That sort of reminds me of a book that I read once, it was written by one Ray Bradbury. I can't quite place the title though, something about a unit used to measure temperature in the U.S. and a number very important in regards to paper. I think it had something to do with its flashpoint, or temperature when it catches fire. Ah well, can't think of it now.

And I brand the FBI as terrorists for their constant attempts to antagonise people and screw with their lives.

Flyer included in the above link!
Did any of you actually read the flyer? The amount of misrepresentation and hyperbole in this thread is more than a little amusing. The flyer itself is just talking about common sense supsicious activity, but most of the people in this thread have taken it and blown it way out of proportion. You know, way out of proportion like the idiots on Fox news do.
This.

Yes, refusing to share your information is not suspicious. However, the flyer doesn't SAY that.

It's like people forget how to read.

In fact, most of the people in this thread didn't read the flyer. Newsflash: IF you get offended by the contents of something... but you obviously didn't read it, then your opinion holds zero weight. It's like a jury deciding to ban a book they never read. And yeah, most people in this thread ACTUALLY didn't read it.

Man it's fun when awareness flyers put things on their look-out list that could just as easily be perfectly normal as they could be an actual sign of something.

A zombie invasion is not scientifically possible http://www.cracked.com/article_18683_7-scientific-reasons-zombie-outbreak-would-fail-quickly.html Nice try TERRORIST!!!

HA! Thats what they want us to think. Cracked is owned by the Monoc Foundation, a subsidiary of the Illuminati. Truth is that a zombie outbreak is going to happen and that is why zombies are always in fiction. People who know the truth are showering us with movies, games and books to try to educate us to fight back.
Max Brooks Zombie Survival Guide is a real how to manual. The Resident Evil games[footnote]Not the movies. The movies are the Illuminati fighting back by putting that dopey harlot Milla Jovovich in the lead thus trying to brainwash us into worshipping her. The same way that they introduced Ghetto Rap to subdue the black population after they assassinated Martin Luther King.[/footnote] are simulations to help us get over the terror of a real zombie attack. Which helps explain why 4 & 5 were not scary and were just getting us in the mindset of zombies are just a big shooting gallery.

But hell, for all I know you are one of the Illuminatis spies meant to spread false information!

On Topic: Its a wonder they did not include buying large quantities of tin foil on the flier.

Mother of god... And the FBI go around wondering why their public image is so piss poor? If they're accusing private people of being terrorists, then why the fuck are they still even an organization!? They are just inciting hatred against themselves! WHAT IS THE POINT OF THEM, IF THEY JUST ATTACK EVERY HUMAN GROUP POSSIBLE!?

All of these crackpot conspiracy theorists were right! They are freaking evil! I'm so glad i'm British. At least MI5 has a modicum of common sense, respect for humanity, skill at their job, and consideration. The FBI must be some sort of department for being absolute idiots.

It's just so absolutely ludicrous! Big brother style. I wouldn't be surprised if a man was employed at the FBI head office, felt a bit bored on his first month, put a whoopee cushion on the CEO's desk, and then was executed for attempted murder and terrorism.

I always did think the FBI was basically trailer park spec CIA.

And here we go again. Thanks SOPA, you've got the internet so paranoid that anything the FBI or the government says is treated with the utmost of seriousness. This is a fucking joke. This isn't just targeting a minority of people anymore, this is almost EVERYONE. So it's all gonna blow over and we'll keep on hiding all that filthy, oh so filthy porn we have from the rest of the world.

Seems reasonable. Clearly Internet cafes are a breeding ground for terrorist activities. I know when I'm putting together plans to blow something up I always do it on public computers where everyone can see what I'm doing.

Lemme see...
Blatantly incorrect use of the term terrorism? Check.
Irony that they're using the term terrorism as a fearmongering tactic? Check.
Tricking ignorant people into thinking terrorism and use of a human right is mutually inclusive? Check.

Sure it sucks and we should be appalled but this is becoming pretty standard protocol. I'm torn between worrysome horror and apathy that this is now considered somewhat "normal".

Wow, I totally misread the title as "FBI brands internet piracy as terrorism" and was completely confused for a few minutes there.

Let's see how I would rate on this....

Are overly concerned about privacy, attempts to shield the screen from view of
others
 Always pay cash or use credit card(s) in different name(s)
 Apparently use tradecraft: lookout, blocker or someone to distract employees
 Act nervous or suspicious behavior inconsistent with activities
 Are observed switching SIM cards in cell phone or use of multiple cell phones
 Travel illogical distance to use Internet Café
Shields the screen, check, and... nope, nothing else in that section.

 Evidence of a residential based internet provider (signs on to Comcast, AOL,
etc.)
 Use of anonymizers, portals, or other means to shield IP address
 Suspicious or coded writings, use of code word sheets, cryptic ledgers, etc.
 Encryption or use of software to hide encrypted data in digital photos, etc.
 Suspicious communications using VOIP or communicating through a PC game
Well, I never use my ISP's email so that's out. Don't use anonymizers but occasionally use an SSH tunnel to home, so I guess I'll call that a check. I use encryption, check.

Two in that section then.

 Download content of extreme/radical nature with violent themes
 Gather information about vulnerable infrastructure or obtain photos, maps or
diagrams of transportation, sporting venues, or populated locations
 Purchase chemicals, acids, hydrogen peroxide, acetone, fertilizer, etc.
 Download or transfer files with ?how-to? content such as:
- Content of extreme/radical nature with violent themes
- Anarchist Cookbook, explosives or weapons information
- Military tactics, equipment manuals, chemical or biological information
- Terrorist/revolutionary literature
- Preoccupation with press coverage of terrorist attacks
- Defensive tactics, police or government information
- Information about timers, electronics, or remote transmitters / receivers
I look at Google Maps occasionally, I guess that counts for the second one.

So, I'm probably not very suspicious.

Look America If you want to watch me play games over the web just send me a mic and I'll set up a Lets play channel on youtube. You dont have to hack into my computor to do it.

I actually think I should always keep a tab open on Goatze to deter any FBI agent trying to watch MLP through my computor XD

I'm all for bashing my government, but that's not what the flyer says. Being overly concerned with privacy is just one thing on a list of many things they say to watch out for. To claim the FBI is saying everyone who is concerned with privacy is a terrorist is like claiming the NIH is saying everyone with a fever has malaria.

If you're gonna take shots at the US government, at least do it right.

I understand the need for a flyer LIKE this one, but this one is just plain... I came up blank on a word to describe the tyrannical nature of the flyer that isn't doesn't have the word tyrannical in it, it's just more proof that if the government could make a police state without, y'know, complete anarchy and revolt, then they would.

Since the FBI inspire fear amonng many good Americans and frequently break our own constitutional rights, can we classify them as Terrorist now.

This is the dumbest thing I've heard all weak, no, make it all month.
I hate it when someone says "when you don't do anything illegal, then there is no reason why we shouldn't be allowed to monitor your every move"
it's just stupid and horribly flawed logic.
What would they say if I just put cameras everywhere in their house? they don't have anything illegal, so it's not bad is it?

Won't even start on the use of the word "terrorist".
