They have every right to put that bill board up but bear by the government should buy a bill board and have a nutritionist put the fact on it so people are not mislead.

The typical vegetarian diet which is rich in soy isn't good for male children especially because of the high estrogen content in soy. Receiving your protein requirements from soy provides you with more estrogen in your diet then accidental BPA adsorption ever could where BPA was banned in Canada for just that reason.

Note: The chemical of concern in BPA isn't actually estrogen it is just a biological mimic while soy contains actual estrogen. About 40x the estrogen content of beer by weight.

Oh dear, I'm a horribly abused child, I suppose.
Why can't we just agree that it is a valid source of food, higher in energy concentration than vegetables, for one thing.
Look! Child Abuse!

Seriously are these guys brain dead or what?

...now i have a Weapon to Stop Vegans...Thank you

Time to show this to all my "Friends" who turned Vegan
I think that was an example of bad parenting and not just them being vegan... The media totally spun that out of proportion, no child can live on breastmilk alone.

That kid didn't die because it's parents were vegan, it was because they weren't very good vegans.

Actually there have been more than a few cases of parents being charged with murder because of their children dying from malnutrition. One recently in Paris I believe. Granted they are extreme examples, PETA isn't exactly out to educate people with facts about nutritional needs.

More recent article on their euthanasia practices

I really like seeing that the SPCA local to them has an 85% adoption rate. About the same percentage of animals PETA is killing.

Meat is delicious and if an animal has been raised to be eaten then by G-d I will eat it before someone else does. And PETA is arrogant as shit, read this article.

http://onlineathens.com/stories/112509/uga_528644780.shtml

The Uga line is not inbred, the Uga's are the most well treated dogs in all of history, and they had the balls to ask UGA of this one day after Uga died and didn't even do so through a phone call. Their lack of information and respect is apparent, and quite frankly its insulting.

So... aren't twinkies vegetarian? (Not vegan, but that's another issue entirely)

So these nuts think that eating meat is more fattening (and by extention, harmful) than eating twinkies? lolwut...

Meat is murder. Sweet, sweet, delicious murder.

We evolved to become carnivores, not herbivores. It's not an opinion: It's SCIENCE.
Carnivores and herbivores both have specialized digestive systems that we lack.

Humans are omnivores, we lack either's specialization but we can eat a fair bit from both.
Forgive my sudden lapse in knowledge of biology. My mistake! Thanks for calling me on that!

Not being given meat and being force fed plate after plate of vegetables would be my idea of hell tbh, I like veg and have always eaten it but not getting any meat at all would just be boring. We like it for a reason after all, its good for us. Just the amount of it that is readily available these days is bit more than our bodies can take, same thing with sugar. The body really likes it because we didnt have vending machines dispensing it when were running around with sticks and stones.

All comes down to moderation and common sense really, eat too much meat and you will get fat. Take it as part of a 'healthy balanced lifstyle' and you'll be fine.

All I have to say is "derp".

Well, that was a lie. I'm pretty sure there's a much higher likelihood of a child having malnutrition from not eating meat than from eating it. Mostly because children need a different balance of nutrients in their diet because they are growing and developing. Part of that is a larger proportion of protein. Parents who aren't nutritionists, and who don't talk to those types of professionals, who decide they're going to raise their kid vegan or vegetarian tend to think all kids need is smaller portions of what they eat, and therein lies the problem, and greater potential for harm.

While childhood obesity is a problem, and a serious one, vegetarianism and veganism in children isn't the answer.

My ancestors fought their way to the top of the food chain. It would be insulting not to eat meat.

A lion, hell even a few primates, would kill you on the spot... and not even for food.

If you don't believe in animal testing..... Then you would have to stick by that choice. When the drugs that will save your children or loved ones are offered and you refuse..... on principle.

The efforts of PETA would be better spent. Investing in solving real problems like child prostitution, spousal abuse, famine the aids epidemic.... anything that isn't fighting for the rights of my next big mac.

Step 1: Get the law on them for lying to the citizenry, as feeding children meat is not quantifiable as child abuse.
Step 2: Sue them for libel or whatever the correct term is.
Step 3: Hire a semi-decent lawyer to represent the case, this shouldn't be too difficult to win.
Step 4: Profit.

"Vitamin B12 which is vital for brain development, is found mostly in meat and animal products..."
Anyone care to finish this sentence?
