Nah... Feeding kids meat is Cruelty to Animals.
Feeding kids Rat poison is probably child abuse though ...or murder. Grim thought.

What are we talking about again?

The only time I ever seen PETA protest anything in real life was outside a KFC. I wasn't particularly hungry at the time and probably wouldn't have stopped. But because of the protest I went inside and bought a 12 piece bucket and went home and ate it.
lol good man :D

From fur is murder to giving your child meat is abuse.

Oh, PETA, you just keep getting classier and classier. I suppose the next logical conclusion would be to invoke Godwin's Law and equate people who put their dogs in cages to Nazis and concentration camps.
Too late: http://www.animalscam.com/peta_7things.cfm

6) PETA has compared Jewish victims of the Nazi Holocaust to farm animals and Jesus Christ to pigs.(...)
Wow these nutball vegetarians would make even Hitler say:

My parents are vegetarian and they don't force me to eat meat. If I choose to keep eating meat does that count as self abuse?

The thing is meat is good for you. Its been scientifically proven that meat was essential for our evolutionary brain development, without it mankind would still be throwing there feces at each other.

Also I don't mean to insult any vegetarians here, but the ones I've met have always been so thin and pale.

If we want to de-evole we can eat vegetables only, or we can have a healthly mix of both vegetables and meat so we can reach the true potential of the human mind.

Are you really surprised? I'm only surprised that they haven't trie something like this sooner. PETA, just stick to having woman take their clothes off, it's really the only thing you're any good at any more.

PETA kills more animals than most kennels and pet establishments, you know.
thats not saying a whole lot considering those places are meant to take care of animals and not maim them

But but... if we silence PETA then who else will provide delicious comic releif to real life?
We still have Fox news and WB church.
Pffft. Fox news isn't nearly as funny as PETA. And the WB guys really just give us more an outlet for rage than humor. Watching Pam Anderson explain to me why I shouldn't eat KFC is funny. Watching people demonstrate at a funeral induces homicidal urges, at least for me.
I see where your coming from, but I find their blind ignorance hilarious.
Maybe they'll get together and give us some new humor. Kinda like guest stars on a sitcom. Maybe a homosexual-meateater protest.

It would be glorious.

Homosexual-meateater.....

Good, good! Give in to your hate. I can feel it growing. Seriously though, PETA is yet another organization pandering to people who refuse to believe that the world is a complex place full of compromise and balance. People who lean on extremism as a crutch simply can't understand that there's no such thing as "pure good" or "pure evil".

It seems that some of the worst evil ever carried out in this world is started from good intentions. This applies to everything from PETA, religious fundamentalism, (Christian, Jews, and everyone else, not just Muslims) to politics.

This kind of backwards "logic" reminds me of one of the endings for Soul Calibur. The "good" sword wins, and the earth is covered in ice. ...And the world was at peace forever. Life is not black and white, it's shades of gray. There are answers to the great questions of existence, but those answers are difficult and complex. Such is life.

Not informing the child of the facts before he eats meat is child abuse. When i was young my mother told me exactly how they treat animals in those horrible places. I chose not to give a shit. (please note: i did become a vegetarian at age 13 for various unrelated reasons)
I fail to see how this lack of knowledge ACTUALLY abuses children? It never harmed me in any way as a child, it's abuse to deny them the necessary vitamins and minerals they obtain from eating certain meats. And a supplement in my opinion is just not good enough an excuse not to feed it to them when it is essential for their development.

I laugh at the fact they put this billboard up in Scotland. We'd deep-fry a beached whale and serve it with bacon before we'd think of rescuing it.

I also wonder if people like PETA are the logical extreme of misanthropy. Namely "everything else > humanity."

Well, being a vegetarian is better for your health than eating meat.
And it actually does make you live longer.

But saying that letting your kids eat meat is just stupid.
Seriously, PETA is seriously full of manure.

What are these miraclous things that you can eat that where never alive?

And please, explain that to a tiger, or a shark, or a house cat...
There are a wide variety of things that people can eat in contemporary society that aren't animals such as quorn, pasta, rice, vegetables and fruit. You can't defend the cruel butchering of animals when there's simply no need. Humans have evolved to the state where we are able to live perfectly well without eating meat, with the technological advancements made so far there's no excuse for eating the stuff.

And no, I'm not going to waste my time trying to communicate with Sharks and Cats. They don't have the mental ability for a greater understanding of things and probably couldn't survive on their own without eating other animals.

All of those things where alive, all of them, do you know for certain that they don't suffer? they also could not replace the entire worlds meat/fish/poultry supply, there isn't that much land to grow things on.

My point is the act of eating something cannot in and of it's self have a moral implication since eating of flesh can be done by things that can't even ask the question of morality. This applies to a lot of things, so we have to come to a consensus but one person cannot just brand it wrong and expect everyone else to agree.

Cat's are house pets, we feed them, they don't have to hunt anything.

I'm down! My family orders our meat by the cow, we could have one helluva cook out.

OT: I don't mind if you don't want to eat meat, I really don't, but I do have a problem with people using lies to try to manipulate people.
