Feelings on Valentines Day?

Well, I get to spend the day alone, staring at middle aged midgets in diapers invading most of the internet (For some reason, most sites like using the "Joke" cupid rather than the normal one)

At least the Escapist might do something, otherwise it's pretty much a pointless day for me.

Considering I'll be playing D&D that night (and some of the people I'm playing with aren't actually single), I think "apathy" is still probably too weak of a word to describe my feelings.

for me its a day to make your girl feel special, and that matters to them. you don't have to buy expencive stuff, make some, and put some effort into it ( unless she wants expencive stuff that is ) so yeah, i believe in valentine, because it bring you closer with the girl/ boy you love.

I don't get why people feel something can have its essence ripped out unless they comply. The day is whatever you want it to be. So, I'll have a good time and be happy.

I agree with you, Valentine's Day is stupid and should really be forgotten, but it does score some points with some people if it's remembered. Not sure why they care, but they do.

Valentines day means nothing to me because I don't have any "mushy feelings" towards anyone,but it is nice the odd friend doing something nice for their partner that day.

Valentine's Day is actually a little fish in the world of consumerist holidays. It's a holiday to celebrate romantic love, or if you are alone, a day to destroy your liver with alcohol. (For me it will be the former this year). But seriously, look at every other holiday over the year, Valentine's day is pretty low on the bar of consumerist bullshit.

A card costs a dollar, a box of heart-shaped candies five dollars. Or better yet, doing something amazing and spontaneous for your loved one is usually free.

Well considering that I JUST got my girlfriend back, then valentine's day will be a very good day for me, especially considering the fact that it will be the same day as my first date with her.

its only 2 days after my birthday, so apparently everyone thinks i like it.
well if i have a female to share it with: yes.
if not: i usually forget that it even occurs 2 days after my birthday. seeing as that i dont have a girlfriend now, ill probably end up just drinking myself into a drunken stupor just so i can tell one of my friends how much i "f***in love them"
