There is nothing I can really add to this that hasn't already been said. She's an idiot who evidently hasn't heard of logging out. He's a typical Home user who has nothing to do with his pathetic life except harrass people. That's what Home users do. It's basically an application for trolling on PS3 and it's shit anyway.

When I read the title, I thought maybe she got groped while playing a demo in a store or someone burst into her home while she was playing a game and tried to rape her. After actually reading what happened, I actually hope one of the things I mentioned happens because I doubt she has any real idea what sexual assault really is.

maybe the devs could add an animated boot to the face w/ an "ignore" macro attached to it.

Seriously, this isn't sexual assault. This is some douchebag being an idiot and thinking that he's funny.
Yeah. It's like teabagging someone in Halo.

I'm going to have to agree with her that it's damn annoying when somebody does something like that, but it just seems some people are constantly looking for excuses to complain about things.
While it's true people constantly look for things to complain about, there's a very real "dickwad" factor with ANY online community (forums included) whether it's a multiplayer game (just try to deny there's not assholes on Xbox Live) or something more sober and socially oriented like Home, there's always going to be someone trying to make someone else miserable. I think what happened is a clear case of exactly that, someone tried to piss her off, and they managed it . . .

While I see where she's comin from, why be so upset by it. If he does things like that, then he's a loser. Simple as.

Another reason not to use Playstation Home.
*fixed* Another reason not to use .

This may come as a shock to many people, but this behavior is not "sexual assault" as defined by the law. It is likely harassment as the action appears to be derived by one player's enjoyment of the interruption of another player's enjoyment of the game, but assault it is not. As has been stated before, it is no more assault than PVP is murder, or killing Orcs and Goblins is racist.

Just as cannot replace Orcs with another color of human that does not match your own and have your killing of them suddenly change from noble to racist, you cannot log into a virtual world and make an avatar that matches your sex (and possibly looks) and suddenly the game changes from a pretend playground into a digital representation of self that renders you immune to the rampant douchebaggery that infests the online world. And since all of this is done in a video game which is, by definition, NOT REAL the interaction between the avatars basically amounts to a hill of beans.

So, whether your avatar is being killed by, "crouched on" or "tea-bagged" by another avatar, the net result is that you are sitting in front of your computer screen watching a complex system of pixels and polygons interact with each other and your linking of the pixels to yourself is wholly contained within your own imagination is therefore is afforded no protection under any legal body or moral code of conduct.

Bottom line - It's not real, go play soccer or hang out at the mall if you want real.

Honestly, this just makes me laugh. Makes me wonder what sort of games they played....

Doesn't this make light of any real sexual assault cases in which somebody has actually been sexually assaulted?

Could she not have called it harrassment or something more minor? Her point is valid but loses any credibility relating it to a much more serious issue. A girl brushed up against me today, I suppose I will haveto call this rape now. /sarcasm

Apparently, she's never played FF11. If you sit down somewhere with a female character someone with a tarutaru or a galka will sit on or behind you.

The avatar couldn't appear at court so she filled in for her.

I remember in Phantasy Star, using my robot's dance emote behind a girl to emulate buttsecks, ahh those were the days.

Douktron got all the newmen bitches.

Quoted for truth. That she's overblown the issue is unfortunately clouding the situation here, but the fact is that this guy was being a jerk. We should be directing our scorn at him.

Dead. On. Right.

Here's a thought: Maybe games like these might be more popular if we actually treated each other with some degree of respect inside them, instead of immaturely tea-bagging, harassing, and name-calling. Now there's a thought.

Any one else think it was Greg Miller?

OT: Well now that someone bitched about being teabaged in a game, I can now send a letter to Microsoft for being tea baged in Halo 3. Ive been so offended all these years because my avatar has been sexually assaulted and I couldn't do anything about it. But now I found someone that has given me a voice!
