Anyone who can straight facedly claim to have been sexually assaulted via a computer game needs to be stopped from breeding. There are truly some mind-numbingly stupid people in this world.

Okay, since representative is clearly retarded, here's how you can distinguish between real-life sexual assault and this stupid-ass 'virtual' sexual assault:
One has the potential to leave you emotionally traumatized for years to come and may cause physical harm.

The women in question had the power to stop playing at any time and unfortunately this stuff isn't that common. I've been insulted plenty of times over an online and even had my corpse defiled. I've even been T Bagged while still alive in some games, usually CoD4. Kind of annoying I guess although I must admit that I have done similar things, usually only to friends, but still. I don't think it's really a big enough deal to get into a newspaper though. I'm not surprised that it was an Australian newspaper of all things.

The problem here is that here is a girl who was essentially harrased for the heinous crime of being a A GURL ON TEH INTERNETS. Realistically, weather or not you consider the game world to be "real" or not, no one should be expected to sit and allow someone to harrass them just for existing.
Because in this situation, all she can do is quit. She can't get up and go shoot some guys in the face or make an attempt to redeem herself from the humiliation of being sexually objectified in-game. She has no recourse, except of course, to run away and be properly shamed for attempting to particpate without being a sexual object.
This isn't assault on the level we'd expect in the physical world. Translate these actions to the real world and it IS assault and harrasment. Home is trying to live somewhere between the game world and the real world, which translates this behaviour from "harmless fun" to sexual harrasment.
People of all genders deserve respect, be it online or off.

OMG! PEOPLE! I HAVE COME UP WITH A SOLUTION TO THIS PROBLEM! No joke it was just invented last week by yours truely. So so get this people are bothering you right? So instead of taking it up the ass like a stupid ***** you can push the OFF button on your console. Oh but just yesterday there was THIS other AMAZING invention I came up with myself. LOGGING OFF and playing a different game! Whoever this ***** is should be dragged in the street RAPED for REAL and then shot 40 times in her stupid ass head. I've been dragged through hell and worse going through REAL rape cases comforting my friends whose lives have ACTUALLY been ruined due to ACTUAL events. I know this is your first post, and you're obviously unexperienced with the Escapist, but... That is the stupidest thing I have ever heard.
