Female protagonists who aren't neccesarily beautiful but whom you like anyway?

If I actually looked like I should due to mental scarring and such I'd look similar.

at the end of the day you're only as ugly as your heart is.

If both of these statements are true then you are ugly by your own admission.

To address the first one: Because women are shallow and vain and most like most people in general are sheep and keep up with mainstream society and have a need to fit in. some such as i don't fit in and are happy and don't try to and aren't shallow and vain.

To address the second, touche, they are. This is why most of my friends are guys.

To address the third, how am i ugly by my own admission? I made no reference to how my heart looks, and look at the avatar if you're going to debate my looks. I hide my scarring well and put out the appearance of being halfway normal and psychologically well. Very few people see the scarred side of me. and of the 5 who have 3 of them are scared of me and the other two worry constantly about me. But I do truly believe the last comment about being only as ugly as your heart is. In going along with that, you have to love yourself most of these "drop dead gorgeous girls" don't love themselves. Food for thought.

Jesus people, are you serious? Ashley Williams? Alyx Vance? Zoey?
They are all very attractive women with perfectly symetrical faces, flawless figures and no physical defects at all. Just because they aren't presented in overtly sexual way, doesn't mean they're not beautiful. I've never seen a plainly unattractive woman as a positive character in a video game.
The truth is good looking people provoke more sympathy and that's why they're always be protagonists.

I suppose I'd have to say GlaDoS. I know thats kind of cheating, but I can think of next to no unattractive female main characters in games.
