I think it was... Alice? In Cell, although the bastards that killed her got what was coming to them.

Raggedy Man made one of them crucify the other and then slit his own wrists... or throat...
Yeah that was mine too...also

When McVries died at the end of the long walk. I knew he was going to die eventually, but it still made me sad

Sotha Sil from Morrowind, just cause he seemed very interesting but I never got a chance to talk with him. Almalexia suffered for his death though, and her soul remains my trophy. >:D
You trapped her in Azura's Star? Wish I had the foresight to do that, Vivec's soul was worth much less.
Among the many things I collected in Morrowind, I also collected souls. Almalexia was the logical one to collect in Azura's Star, and I liked Vivec way too much to kill him. (Cept once out of curiosity)

I never finished the soul collection though...even though I collected over half of the Dagoths.

Ashley just killed Wrex in my game of Mass Effect. I knew it was going to happen (I played it out so it would on purpose) but he's one of my fav characters in it.

Oh God that was the worst one though, it nearly killed me - I couldn't believe it! I wanted to be able to get some revenge on them but then the credits roll. Devastating.

I've got a few

This isn't a death per se, but when you find out Atlas is really Fontaine. Damnit, Atlas was one of my favorite characters of all time!

Gaz dying sucked, he was another great character. Hell, I'll just go ahead and say the entire ending.

Carlos dying was definitely a shocker, did not see that one coming. I didn't really like having to kill Jyunichi either.

I got physically violent with an arm chair after Light Yagami died. I wanted him to win, he was doing a good thing. Also that whole series was a brilliant idea, and had brilliant characters and twists. AND THEY KILLED MY FAVORITE CHARACTER! Fuckin bullshit.
same here, personally I really think the series should have ended at L's death.

The first time I played fallout 3 I got really attached to dogmeat, when he finally got disintegrated by Enclave troops I nearly cried :(

The second time I played fallout 3 he got stuck growling at things in one of the sewers, and then I had to spend 30 mins luring him back to the exit, a similar thing happened soon after so decided he'd like to play fetch with a grenade.
yeah,a lotta love for dogmeat here,it seems.my bro just kept him at the vault and never used him so he wouldn't die.I went a step further and just avoided the scrapyard, for fear he'd die on the way to the vault.

kinda sad that you cried for your dog then later fragged him, guess annoyance beats sadness anyday for you.

I'm not going to read the spoiler seeing as I'm only on the second book thanks to you.
but alas, while quoting you I saw a name.
tell me it's not so! tell me! :O
Which name did you see? I mentioned 4 names, one of them just being something that is inevitably going to happen, but hasn't.

Oh, and if it's the first name, that was spoiled for me as well before I got there.

All the people in Tenpenny tower who I convinced to let the ghouls in...
And were slaughtered for their kindness.
My mourning was done with railway spikes.
I did my mourning with a Laser Rifle.
damn them. I only wanted everyone to be happy!
I even loaded an earlier game, let them move in and immediately killed roy.
And somehow he still killed them from beyond the grave :(

When Hinawa gets killed by the mecha drago. It made me cry but I felt so bad for Flint. Also the fact Claus ends up going missing to avenge her and then I feel sorry for all of Lucas's family.

:'( that was so sad! Absolutely heartbreaking, especially since it seemed like it was one of those where you thought she would be saved.

well, the latest was carlos in saints row (yes, i am barely into the story so far).
i was so upset i've been on a brotherhood-slaughtering rampage since then, leaving all the other gangs to mind their own business...
Don't worry, if that's only just happened then I can assure you you get true, just and fucking awesome revenge on the Brotherhood.

My only disappointment with SR2 was that the Samedi storyline didn't carry as much weight as the Brotherhood and Ronin. Both of those put you through some serious shit, whereas the incredibly cool Voodoo guys are content to just push drugs. It made them feel like a lot less of a threat in comparison.

On topic?

I don't think I really have any. I mean... I felt bad when Carlos died, and
after the Ronin hospitalise Gat
but you get very awesome revenge for those, so it worked out in the end.

I guess in most fiction characters die for a reason, and, seeing that reason, I don't mourn too much. I feel worse about characters getting tortured than killed - probably another reason why Carlos got to me.

Spoilers for Code Geass

Surprisingly I was okay with Lelouch dieing, I don't know why I just was. When it comes to Shirley dieing, I was so damn sad, she died so pointlessly. In the end it made that bastard Rollo's death much better.

Death Note

L and Lights Death tore me up inside, and remind me of my hatred of Near

House

When Kutner offs himself, He was the only part of the new team that was awesome. Dammit why'ed he have to die( besides the obvious out of show reason)

I include this one because the decision to kill either Kaidan or Ashley is probably the most agonizing choice I'd faced in a game yet. I hadn't anticipated growing so attached to a bunch of pixels. Throughout the whole mission, I kept having this feeling one of them was going to die. But I thought it would be whoever you sent with Kirahe. I never thought they'd put the choice in your hands...that was rough. Sorry Ash.
how could you do that?! i've saved her like everytime
Edit: i think i've clicked just about every spoiler in this thread, even for the stuff i didn't want to see! i just can't help myself

Henry Blake in M*A*S*H. That's about it. Never really cared that much about anyone else.
