this is my first post, but at this point I don't care about impressing people
I just was curious If I'm the only one who finds it absurd to empty a clip on someone only to have them lay on the ground and shoot me ONCE with a damn pistol and get an insta-kill....I find it quite n00b-ish. So, Do you use it?, or do you also find it ridiculous?

I hate the idea of rewarding people for losing a fight in principle, it's a ridiculous mechanic. Not nearly as annoying as martyrdom in CoD4 but still, a pain in the arse.

I use it. Never had a problem with other people using it, never got insta-killed by second chancers, myself never really killed anyone while shooting in that position.

It's just that a lot of people who shot you down get all self-assured and attempt to knife you while you're on the groun. I take advantage of that.

It's certainly not the fairest perk, people who use it should, in my opinion, have reduced health, but it's not that bad either.

I use second chance and almost always kill the people that kill me, but I never have problems with people who use second chance. What's so hard about it? You see a guy falling on his back, shoot 3 shots more. Why is it noobish? It's a completely legit perk. Calling someone noobish because they use second chance is as silly as saying flak jacket users are noobish.

Rather than raging on second chance, complain about the pistols. I killed a sniper from the other side of the map in second chance.

I agree with the idea of reduced health so it takes less to put you in second chance, but it does have decent uses, I use it on my sniping class, with the pro version it means that lucky AK74u's from the other side of the map don't get their kill.

Martyrdom made me brood more than once, I mean I really raged because of Martyrdom. Last stand has never really annoyed me that much, check your targets and after a while you will shoot them again before they shoot you.

I don't have a problem with it.
I ESPECIALLy enjoy making the guy(who's in second chance) suffer by running around him in circles until he dies.

In my opinion, if you hate last stand that much put an extended mag onto your weapon and no problems! personally i don't use it but i very rarely die when my enemy has it, if they kill me then its usually my fault for being cocky! So in my opinion its a perfectly fine perk to use.

The guy using Second Chance has to give up some pretty useful 3rd tier perks. The only time I use it is when I prestige and its on the M-16 custom class...I think out of about 10 games with it, I would have been lucky to have got 5 kills. Hardly "overpowered" or whatever the term of the week is.

I agree I hate getting done by a guy in Second Chance but its part of the game and all COD games have had annoying aspects to them. I have equal chance to use it and choose not too because I think it has little use. Others disagree and think its a useful perk and that cool. At least I know they won't see my claymores.

Second chance is pretty flawed with the fact of the drop animation. Soon as you see it, BAM.

I always detect slight amounts of bhull when it comes to close battles on COD, when bullets just seem to richochet off them for whatever reason. If you get one hit killed by the person downed, it generally means that it was a close battle, and that you could have been lucky to be the one standing anyway.

I use second chance mainly because me and my friend always work together, and since I have the pro version, he can revive me once he kicks the attackers ass (In most cases)

I use it all the time in black ops since no other perk 3 is worth having for me and people dropping into last stand is rarely a problem for me unless my gun decides to suddenly sway.

People in last stand only need to take one shot - to kill a target they have to use 3+ pistol shots. If they drop you from last stand they did well

I've had a few double kills from last stand but only because I took out my killer and then surprised another enemy.

the whole game of black ops is designed to benefit noobs...
there is no skill in it any more and its just a case of who can spray the most bullets into the other guy while running round the map like a headless chicken...

can't believe that this is an acceptable "evolution" of COD 4

I don't use it but I don't mind people who use it, and I absolutely hate servers that ban it and Martyrdom.

My opinion (PLEASE READ: NOT MEANT AS AN INSULT): get better at the game. The reason I say this, I used to hate those two perks when I first started playing CoD games. Then I took it upon myself to actually train my senses a bit to pay attention to those minor details, like when the person actually gets into Last Stand, or when I hear the grenade drop from Marty. I'm not perfect, and I still screw up plenty of times when it happens, and it does get to me at times, but I would get myself banned just trying to defend another person's right to use the perk.

Call the Waaaaaambulance already. It's part of the game, therefore it should be used. Just find a way to Counter act it.

I don't have a problem with it, or using it. 9/10 times when you are downed you wont get a kill and you will be finished off. The pistols have range, but it takes a lot of bullets to kill someone and only if they are truly not paying attention.

I use it and don't mind others using it. I think the finishing him off with that last shot and trying to drop a guy with a pistol is a fun mini game. As mentioned, there are work arounds. If they kill you they will still die and you kill them. If in Black Ops they have pro, I can't tell you how many times people used me in Last Stand to kill teammates of mine coming to my rescue.

The only real complaint that I see people have about it is that while the player is transitioning to the last stand and the animation is playing, they seem to be invincible. Being shot at that moment doesn't kill me and it gives me that split second to prepare and line up my pistol. Take that delay away and we are golden.

It'd be nice if it was like downing someone in Gears of War, in that it only works when you didn't completely murder them. For instance, a headshot is a sure kill.

People who use it are just n00bs to the core. Not only they don't know how to play the game, they destroy other peoples fun by using unfair and gameplay-breaking methods.

Hate to break it to ya, but that's been CoD's multiplayer playstyle from the beginning.

Generally, when you get a full clip of 7.62 Full Metal Jacket to the face, You die there is no "Second chance" Makes logical sense to me if you put it that way.
