That thing looks awesome. I can't think of any practical uses for it, but having one would be badass.

You know, this seems awesome and all, but you'll regret this invention if you ever find yourself being chased by a mugger or rapist armed with one. And you know it's only a matter of time before an unsupervised child gets mutilated or killed with one.

Yep, I'm a bit of a downer kinda guy. Can you tell?

Wow if there was ever a weapon that could be used for a real life vigilante, it's this now. Wait what if the army get's a hold of it?

...I want one.

Yeah, I can't think of much else to say other than that.

It reminds me of some other laser pointer that was advertised in a comic where one kid said "I can mark buildings and stuff. What can you do?" and the other kid responds with, in large letters: "I BURN THINGS".

Can't remember the exact wording, but it goes something like that.

that is, cool, but weird at the same time - just because they have developed a hand held laser capable of blinding and burning, on sale to anyone.

My God I hope that isn't true. Isn't that basically a weaponized laser then? seems to me it could be used that way...

Wow, you know those chavs who point laser dot pens at police helicopters?

They're gonna have a field day with this.
I think that is what the 135 pound price tag is for. I think they figure chavs would be more likely to spend that on over-baggy clothes and cigarettes.

OT: kinda cool, can't say I either want nor need one but it would be amusing to show off.

Although I doubt cillivians will ever be able to get them. The millitary hogs all the cool toys.

Shame there was no pictures.

On the one hand this looks kind of cool. But on the other hand they sound VERY dangerous and I think it's a little irresponsible to allow people to simply purchase them just like that. If anything this should be limited to armed forces, not given to people who are likely to cause serious harm to themselves and people around them by swingining it around recklessly

My point is, when it comes to fullfilling nerdy fantasies WE NEED TO KNOW OUR LIMITS, the results can be deadly otherwise.

It only sears flesh guys, calm down, and it's practically useless at anything else. You can't melt blades, you can't deflect bullets, and the projection part is too small to be of any real use.

It's a gimmick thing at best.

Now if people actually made it more like a 'No More Heroes' sword, that would be more dangerous, and you know why...

That's not a lightsaber, that's more like a Star Trek-style phaser pistol.

And wow, do I feel nerdy now. And I love it. Yay for nerdyness!
