11th. Well, I guess that's good enough. But I know we can do better. Thank goodness we cannot do worse.

And what part of it is so funny?
lol the school work is pretty easy here and most of the people i know can barely do school. I know a couple of people that have a hard time reading too so thats why the canadian education system is so funny.
Have you considered that is just your area?

USA should clearly be number one, because us Americans in America are truly superior to everyone non-American, as only Americans can be!

........ In America.

Just three points I wanna make: one, the plegde of alligence is always optional. It's more of a sign of respect and reverance to the troops.
Two, the cross dressing and all those things you mentioned aren't exclusive to Finnish schools. The policy here (for public schools at least) is wear whatever you want as long as it doesn't endanger you or others, like you said. There's people I know who walk into school regularly dressed as the opposite sex. The dyed/spiky haired punk, emo, goth, scene or whatever you want to call it is just a phase for bored teens and people will grow out of it. I apreciate punk rock as a style of music, not a movement or a lifestyle.
Third: like Therumancer said, we are our worst critics. Entertianers poking fun or even blatantly rebelling against leaders is not a big deal, some people even make their livliehood doing it.
These are all commonplace things that happen in a maturing democracy like the entire western world is. I think the point that Therumancer was trying to bring up though is that in the U.S. you have such a strong representation of these minority groups (real ones like immigrant or fundamentalist groups. not immature teenage retards rebelling against their parents) that it causes unique backlashes in political as well as everyday society and culture. Whew. Anyway...

maybe but i do go to the 2nd smartest school in my city but i live around people who don't care at all so that could be another reason
Have you considered that is just your area?

Poland 29: I don't believe it, it should be much lower imo.
I don't see how it scored high in education and political environment.
As a person who is currently in the Polish education system, it is a huge mess teachers are ancient in their ways, equipment is terribly old (seriously my med school is using an electron microscope that is like 30 years old and was thrown out by the Japanese, people skip classes all the time. Hell a lot of my teachers just started using computers.
