My first console was a Sega Megadrive II and it came with a Mega 6 cartridge. Sonic the Hedgehog, Columns, Streets of Rage, Sega Soccer, Revenge of Shinobi and that F1 racing game I can't remember the title of.

Of those, Streets of Rage was easily my favourite, I've lost count of how many times I completed that. I did try to like Revenge of Shinobi and Sonic, but I just ended up getting frustrated because I wasn't good enough to get very far each time I played. The first and only game I bought for the Megadrive was Taz in Escape From Mars.

When I got my first PC, it came with Motocross Madness and Flight Simulator '98. I remember making my own ridiculous tracks in Motocross Madness with the editor, tracks that usually had massive jumps right before sharp turns in the track, so the AI wouldn't land until they'd overshot the track by a country mile. I think the first PC game I bought was Unreal Tournament, or it might have been X-Wing Alliance. Either way, both of these were lasting classics for me and I still mod them and play them to this day.

Commodore 64 - Wizards of Wor. Don't laugh, it was on a cartridge that came with the machine.
But the game I remember most from the C64 was Seven Cities of Gold.
IBM PC - Tetris
Amiga - Dungeon Master
PSX - FFVII
PS2 - FFX

Depends on what you mean by 'my'. The first game I ever played on the family computer (owned by my dad) was Monty's Revenge. The first game I ever played on a computer that was actually purchased by myself was Planetside.

Trying to remember what the first PC game I played was. My Dad worked for IBM and we had an IBM PC XT way back in about 1983,there wasn't much like games on it. Probably some crappy BASIC demo most likely.
First commercial game was Microsoft Flight Simulator

ZX 81 - crappy flight simulator I forget the name of.
ZX Spectrum - Chequered Flag (Psion F1 racing game)

Long time before I actually owned a console

Playstation - Gran Turismo
Nintendo 64 - Ocarina of Time
Gameboy Color - Pokémon Yellow
Gameboy Advance SP - Advance Wars
Nintendo Gamecube - Metroid Prime
Playstation 2 - Gran Turismo 3
Wii - Twilight Princess (technically Wii Play, but I just put that in to test it :))
Playstation 3 - Little Big Planet

On this PC I just got recently, the first game I played was World of Warcraft, which was probably the first game I played on my last rig, and the first on my laptop too :) It's just a very easy game to copy between machines via a portable HD.

What is with all these "what was your first game" threads over the past few months? It's not the fact that they repeat it's more of a "who the hell could actually remember that unless you starting gaming in the past few years" thing. Only thing I can remember is Super Mario Land 2, but I don't remember if that was before or after we had our Super Nintendo... I don't even remember any games we even had on our Super Nintendo come to think of it...

The first game I remember playing for any amount of time was the original Tomb Raider for DOS when I was somewhere between 3-6 but according to my dad I played lots of games before that too.

My first ever online game was Halo:Combat Evolved for the P.C, I remember everytime I wanted to play it I would ring my mam and ask if I could go on the internet. Then I would nervously connect the 56k modem and spend about 20 mins online... good times.... good times XD

-edit-

I just remembered other contenders for the first game I played are Jazz Jackrabbit, some sonic game and one or two other similar 2d platformers from the 1994-1995 era.

Can't remember PSOne but on PS2 I enjoyed myself some GTA: Vice City at the age of 11. On PC I think Doom 2 or Command And Conquer.

Honestly can't remember what the first was, but it was on my C64 and I was 6 years old so that makes it 1984.

The first game I played on the family desktop computer was the original Lego Island. Man, that game was awesome. What I wouldn't give to be able to play it again...

The first game I played on my first laptop was Lego Star Wars II. I love that game. Then again, my PC was crap, so I was limited in what games to play.

First game I played on my current laptop (this time, it's a gaming laptop. Thanks mom!) was Aquaria. That was actually a game I had on my old laptop, but I just transferred it over to this laptop to see how it would run. It ran beautifully.

First game I played on my PS2 was the first Lego Star Wars. It was one of the games I received for free when a friend gave me their PS2, but I liked it. Haven't touched it in years, though.

First game I played on my PSP was Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. That was not my choice, though- my parents got the PSP for my birthday, and they picked out a game they thought I would like. It hasn't quite sunk in yet that games based on movies aren't that good.

That about covers it. We have a Wii as well, but that's not really mine, that belongs to the whole family.

Tetris on the Gameboy. That must have been either 1989 or 1990. It was followed by a Gamegear, and then a NES, and then a Megadrive...

I was born 1991, first game was Warcraft 1.
First console game was Diablo on Playstation.

Other games that remember to have played as a child: Hokus Pokus, Wacky Wheels, Z, Command and Conquer Red Alert

I was really raised to like Blizzard. I still do. They want a lot of money, and I give it to them, because they totally deserve it.

PacMan on the Atari 2600

The 2nd was Bezerk on Atari 2600
3rd was Megamania on the 2600
and the 4th was Sea Quest

I got high enough to get the mail order patches for the latter. You guys prob don't remember those days. If you got a high enough score - you took a picture of it and sent it in to the maker and they would send you a patch
