18, and I met him on the open week of a welsh university, on the meeting of the life-role-play social club. He bested me in a duel, and I fell down a bit too realistic so he asked if he had hurt me, and I mistook him an fellow american by his english... that's about the story.
(I now live with him in germany)

Wow, the average seems to be 14.

I'm 24, never been in a relationship.
Had sex once and it wasn't very good.

I honestly just have the worst luck with women. Most of the time everything will be going fine and then they will just start playing games or something and it will wind up ending before it even starts. Or the ones I am actually interested in are always unavailable.

I really don't want to have a random girlfriend just for the sake of having one, like so many people I know do. I did that when I lost my virginity, and I regret it. It would have been more meaningful with someone I actually cared about.

But such is life. Anyway I am in no place to be in a relationship at the moment, too much stuff to sort out in my own life to focus on another person.

15. We met because we played opposite each other in a high school rendition of Rear Window. We didn't actually start going out until several months afterwards though. It lasted about 2.5 years, and I remember those times fondly. Hardly an ideal relationship though, her parents hated me (and for no real reason either). By the end of it, we could barely stay in contact with each other, and were drifting apart, so we just cut it off.

I was 18 (I'm a loser). We were coworkers, and a third coworker decided to tell both of us that the other thought we were hot. A few months later I think we both finally realized that we weren't compatible, but both just had too low self-esteem to be the one to break it off. I'd like to say we talked about it and parted ways amicably, but really we just kind of stopped talking to each other outside of work and had an unspoken understanding that it was over.

42. We met in a chatroom and chatted every night for 3 years straight. Then suddenly she just didn't log on anymore, and I am now forced to assume she died of testicular cancer. I'll never love anyone else again.

I'm 18 and I've never had a girlfriend, dated or had sex, although this doesn't bother me in the slightest.

I agree with you man, twice I've been going out with a girl just because I could, not because I particularly wanted to, neither lasted very long, I felt guilty that it meant more to them than it did to me.

Same with sex, the girl I lost my virginity to was basically in the same boat as me, neither of us wanted to become a couple, we pretty much were doing each other a favour, it wasn't a particularly fulfilling experience.

13 and we met at a party... Her boyfriend dumped her right there and she was in tears, and I kinda took the initiative.

16, although we never kissed or anything, so I doubt that counts. None since then, and I'm nearing 18. Kissed a couple outside of relationships since though, but never sober...I'm too shy.

Didn't last long though and I haven't had another girlfriend since.
This is exactly what happened with me. Same age, same length of relationship, same circumstances afterwards.

Yet to happen. I struggle to make friends, so getting close enough to someone to be considered their girlfriend is almost an impossible task for me.

I wouldn't call anyone I've been close to a "Girlfriend", as I've only ever been close to 2 girls. One lives too far away and is currently in a relationship, the other only stayed in town for two days. Those were great days, but she was only visiting. So I suppose she was my "Girlfriend" for that time, but we couldn't stay together. I was 14.
