While I want Tali to come back, and knowing how large her fanbase is, I cannot see Bioware handling it great simply because they've kind of put themselves in a lose-lose situation. As the final part in the trilogy they can either show Tali's face, which will piss off a good chunk of the fans for either not being what they pictured or removing what they had imagined, or they can do what they did in ME2 and just not show it, pissing off even more fans for not showing us her face after all this time.

Besides that I'm looking forward to it, mostly cause I want to see how they handle the love triangle that's popped up between my Shep and Liara/Tali. Also here's hoping that the trial is similar to Tali's trial in ME2.

The Arrival DLC was rather disappointing; In the first game, we had this one mass relay being propelled by a supernova in the System. The Relay in the Solar System was encased in so much Ice that the mass collapsed into a sphere.
And now this Relay simply explodes. If there was some technobabble bomb on board or some death ray thingy or indeed anything other then a cutscene in which the relay is simply shattered by the impact of the Asteroid it would have been better. And why does it explode so violently that it takes out the whole system? Never explained. Why does the Doctor you free explain to you how the whole thing works and then she's against you all of a sudden? Apparently reaper artifacts can indoctrinate really fast and selectively, shepard was fine. But what ever. I could go on, but i'll just say that i wish that this isn't the basis for much of the remaining Plot. If it is, i would have dragged shepard in court for not trying to warn the Batarians the second he knew what's going on.

Next Hope for ME3: Cerberus isn't evil. Well, they are ruthless and stupid, some of the accidents they had in ME1 could have been prevented by Doors. Nothing fancy, just Doors.

I liked the Illusive man as being completely ruthless, but not "evil". I would have guessed that he wouldn't like some things shepard did, but he'd help him anyway because no matter what he did, he's still the best hope against the Reapers. Even if Shepard says he's going to destroy all the Cerberus experiments that he thinks are evil, which is about 95% of them, 5% of cerberus is better then 0% of Cerberus.

The Illusive Man would see Shepard as the best Hope for the survival of Humanity and if that means that most of Cerberus will bite the dust, he would still help Shepard.

I can not see why T.I.M. would have Shepard killed. I don't see the Boss of Cerberus changing his tune. He still believes shepard is the hero to save humanity. Kill shepard, humanity dies. Humanity dying isn't exactly the "Advancement of Human Interests" Cerberus has on its agenda.
It never said how close the relay was to the supernova, just that it was moved by a nearby one. Plus, an asteroid is actually making physical, solid impact, not just superheated gasses and plasma. The relays are weatherproof, not invincible, basically.

She explains why it could take out the whole system - It takes a vast amount of energy used to propel ships across the galaxy. It takes even more to power that thousands of times for millions upon millions of years. Destroying the container makes that energy unstable. Eezo go boom.

She was slowly indoctrinated, and the proximity to the artefact would cause further control. Plus, Harbinger. ASSUMING DIRECT CONTROL etc.

Cerberus IS basically evil. The first game, they are terrorists. The second game, the only reason they aren't terrorists is because they revive you to help against humans being abducted. Basically a personal/racial agenda. Either ME2 ending sets you up - Blowing it causes them to hate you, keeping it gives them power and has removed the only reason they got you back - The Collectors.

Shep is the best hope for the galaxy, NOT just humanity. That's not what T.I.M wants. Plus, he may want to negotiate with the Reapers to evolve humanity into the Human-Reaper, or some such stuff. Maybe he'd want the Reapers to kill every race but us. Shep won't buy it.

Ashley is back!!!

I am soo stoked for this game. However, I think from this point on, I'm gona try and avoid all the pre-release info. ME2 gave so much away before it even came out.

Fuck man, so long as I got at least one Krogan ally, I'm sure I'll be fine.

Yeah, I think it's cos she's wearing her hair down haha. It also seems to be lighter than in ME1 and ME2...

I don't understand why Wrex wouldn't be an ally. He's EVERYONE's favorite squadmate from the series. It only makes sense for him to be a squadmate in the finale.

While Wrex, Mordin, Legion and Anderson will potentially return, they are all believed to be non-controllable side characters.
It's like they took my two favorite things from Mass Effect 2, plucked them out, and threw them into a corner. Fuck you Bioware. You're not even utilizing your two best characters properly.

Not necessarily. Wrex, Mordin and even Legion could potentially do far more good as story-important characters, even if they aren't squadmates.

Wrex: He needs to stay on Tuchanga and keep the Krogan in line.
Mordin: Needs time to work on *insert scientific project here,* which would be easier if he wasn't constantly in the middle of battle.
Legion: Will likely be a key ally in fostering peace between the geth and the quarians (along with Tali, one would imagine). Gaining the quarian and geth fleet against the Reapers? That'll be big.

larger skill trees
Huzzah! The skill tree in ME1 could've done with some trimming but ME2 was far too light considering some of the 'skills' were ammo types.

I am psyched for this
Seconded!

Decided to buy some of the DLC for ME2 today and continue my playthrough. Been on it for about three or four hours so far and still haven't gotten around to the DLC parts.

Aww... no details on whether we'll need to probe planets to get resources to power the Mako for planetary missions where you're dropped 8 million miles from a 3-room building?

they are all believed to be non-controllable side characters.
Does this mean they are squademates, who you can't control (as per the the previous two games) and fight by your side (and are therefore 'side characters')?

Or does it mean they aren't squademates (and thus aren't even vaguely controllable in the sense that they follow you) and are part of the side-quests to the game?

Pretty poorly worded statement if you ask me.

The story doesn't seem right. I mean, Cerberus trying to kill Shepard? What if you gave the Illusive Man the Collector base? Wouldn't you be on good terms with him? I certainly hope that comes through.

Also, I wonder if this James Sanders is in any way related to Khali Sanders from the novels.
