Wolfenstein 3D, followed by Doom and Rise of the Triads. Also, Mortal Kombat.

And later on I've played most of the violent games out there.

My first 18 rated game was Perfect Dark on the N64 when i was 11. Good grades made for many days of that summer spent cooped up indoors!
More or less the exact same with me, except it was my older brother who bought it. I'd say I've spent more hours on the multiplayer in PD than any other game, with the possible exception of Smash Bros. Melee.

First Doom and Wolfenstein, I was 9 or so.
Yep, I remember my grandpa introducing me to wolfenstein when I was about 7,
we'd play for hours slaughtering nazis and tracking down ol' hitler,
then my mom came downstairs and watched us reduce hitler to a fleshy pile of bones and bile,
I wasn't allowed to play it anymore, (didn't stop grandpa from getting me a copy)

Dino crisis *shudders* wish I'd never played them though at the time I was scared fruitless.

It was one of the Mortal Kombat games first, I believe, then Resident Evil 2, and GTA: Vice City at a friends place.

Fallout 3 and Resident Evil 5 are pretty gory though, but I think once Prototype comes out it'll take the cake for violence. Well, actually, nevermind. Manhunt might be better for that. Or did the media blow it out of proportion?

Street Fighter II for the SNES back in 93, I think. But it's got a lot of fantastic elements in it so I don't know if that's the kind of violence you're talking about. The first "blood and guts"-type violent game I played must have been Doom, maybe about a year later.

I think it was Starcraft for me, at age 10. Not really up close, I know, but it had copious amounts of gore to be sure.

God I'd have to say it was "State of Emergency" for the PS2, violence en masse
