Original Mortal Kombat count when I was 5?
Same here. Man, was kind of messed up. My dad would have us watch these movies "Faces of the Dead" when we were about that age... This part where they're stitching a dead old woman's face together is still fresh in my mind.

Definitely Mortal Kombat. I freakin loved playing as Sub-Zero. Also Resident Evil which really scared me.

Well, all around the same year it was Mortal Kombat(not really violent arcade version), then like a month later my friend got Halo 2 for his xbox....

Either the original Prince of Persia or Wolfenstein.

I still remember the commands...

C:\>CD Prince
C:\Prince>Prince.exe

or

C:\>CD Wolf3d
C:\Wolf3d>Wolf3d.exe

Awesome.

Wolfenstein 3d. That was my first violent game, followed swiftly by Doom. So long ago for me, but oddly those are two games that I will always fall back on.

I played Mortal Kombat Trilogy a lot when I was, like, 8, but my parents made sure I had the Blood settting set to 'off' so no Fatalities or any of that for quite a few years into my life.

As such, my first truly violent video was Alien Versus Predator Gold Edition on my family's PC. It's not much now, but ripping off Marines' heads and such was violent. :D

When playing GTA (the original one) I thought I knew what "violent video game" meant. Then, 7-8 years later, I played Postal II, and I realized.. That's the only truly violent video game I've ever played.

for me it was Doom or Quake, or even Duke Nukem 3D. Quite alot of things really, and this was the age of 8-9 or something, I'm perfectly normal on the other end of it though.
