Hmm, hard question...

Probably some awesome FPS called "White Eagle" or something. All I remember is that I had a one-level demo in which you hijack a plane, the game is surprisingly hard and there are truckloads of secrets.

Hmm, Duke Nukem 3D and Doom when I was three. GTA 3 and Vice city when I was 6-9. Yah. Most violent I've ever played though, probably Fallout 3 or Manhunt.

now that i think of it, probably Goldeneye: 007. Not that that was particularly graphic and all, it was just the first game that i played involving guns and man on man violence (my parents bought my games for me for a while... they had good taste, got me games like Super Mario 64 and Zelda: Ocarina of time)

Truly violent? Soldier of Fortune, when I was 15. First time I played a game where the bad guys would hold their guts, after me having shot them out with a shotgun.
This except i spent most of my time stumping people

When I think of truly violent video games I really only think about human-against-human violence because more often than not violence against anything not human is justified by the fact that aliens/whatever are portrayed as evil incarnate. Justice to me is necessarily violent.

That being said, even though I played DOOM and MK at a fairly young age I didn't consider them to be that violent. Manhunt was probably the first truly violent video game to me that I had played. GTA: III/Vice City was a little cartoony for the violence to really affect me in the same way.

Super Mario, I mean c'mon you jump on those little turtles that just walk around and dont harm you and you have to kill them as you pass by! Ever thought about that they have feelings too?
