Flame war: PS3 vs XBOX360

I have a wii and Xbox.
I prefer Xbox over Ps3 because it just has better games and more of a community. You get free stuff, free demos, videos, and a pretty decent paying system. $50 for a year isn't bad.
Plus, for it's flaws, it either equals out with Ps3 or has something to cover it up.
Gold membership costs money?
Playstation plus. :/
Kinect will suck?
PS3 move.

I don;t hate Ps3, I just prefer 360.

Yeah the PS3 has free online and you don't need to pay for the new ones or to play online, it's funny that people mention online as a plus for xbox because that's always been the one thing i thought ps3 did best.

All I said was ps3 has free online. Am I a fanboy if I say xbox has better controllers or that Wii has motion controls?

I used to flame the PS3, but I have seen the light and am now gradually selling all of my 360 games and itself to get the PS3 and the games I am selling.

do you have any idea why threads exist? It's pretty pointless to post the same opinion everyone else has and leave. It's meant to be a conversation starter, nothing more. Nobody wants to read "because its the one they bought" over and over again. If you want people to stay on topic, maybe make a thread with a topic that's worth discussing.

I'm officially at my: "Whatever, do what you want" point. And if you haven't noticed by my post count, more then half of my posts (Likely 3/4) have been TODAY, so, take it easy homes, I'm backing out of this proverbial fight.

they're both good, and both crap
PS3 has no games, but it has dependable hard ware
360 breaks at the drop of a hat, but has a lot of games, and i really like the concept of achievements

so why not just flame the crap out of the Wii

Dude have you been living under a rock? I haven't heard the "PS3 has no games" complaint since the year it came out. Plenty of games have come out since then. And I don't own a 360 but I also haven't heard about it breaking for years. And both have a form of achievements, with PS3 having trophies, so why does that factor in?

OT: I think that people who start flame wars do it because they feel that by buying their console they took a side, and they feel the need to fight for that side. That or they need to qualify their purchase. I would never try to start a war, but I can understand why someone would feel the need to. I'd rather defend both sides of the argument and come to a neutral agreement.

I'm actually pretty happy, the thing is I have other things happening in my life and this thread means nothing to me.
I just don't take people bossing me around despite how happy I am. It's against my nature. You still are unwilling to admit that you may have made a mistake, instead you want to blame my "anger" even though you have no way of knowing how i feel or what I'm thinking.
Try to understand this, if you did the title to be funny, fine. Just don't act like an internet bouncer when somebody *gasp* has a conversation regarding the topic.

I'm probably the exact opposite of someone who participates in a fanboy fight, I bought an XBox 360 but I fully acknowledge that it probably wasn't the better choice for me (I'm mostly a PC gamer); the only XBox 360 exclusive I really have any interest in is Tales of Vesperia (which is available on PS3, but only in Japan.) Everything else I really want is multi-platform, and the RRoD really worries me sometimes. I do like some of the XBLA titles, but the PSN offers some of my favourite PS1 classics, so it's really a tie there. (I could own a PSP and get PS1 games for that, though, so that's always something.)
