Now, don't get me wrong, I used to be one of these people, back when I was new to the interweb. I was always searching for a proper zombie apocalypse sim. I grew out of it, though, and forgot about it. Only now I realize what would be the proper zombie apocalypse sim. Somehow, hack into the L4D files, get rid of the weapons, give the ability to starve or dehydration, make it so that your character prays that he dies without being ripped apart or crawling on their hands and knees to get to a bit of candy underneath the fridge to find it was just a wrapper and then die. People, you cannot, I repeat, CANNOT survive the Zombie Apocalypse without leaving the country, let alone the planet. The Zombie Virus,whatever it would be, would be freaking impossible not to get, or be immunized to, since it never happened before, because everyone you know is now a zombie, or at least, going to be sooner or later . You can't get to an island, since your entire country would be quartined and you would not be able to get out. Also, what is up with the "Well, there is a gun shop up the road, I'll just steal a few guns! DUUR!". PEOPLE, THIS IS NOT AN ORIGINAL IDEA! Everyone in your district would have thought of this, taken the guns, then put a note saying "Sorry for stealing your guns, I'll buy you a beer.". So, that leaves you having to go to some gun owners house, to get some guns, only to be bitten, raped and pissed on by a zombie. So, do yourself a favor, to spare yourself in the long run, KILL YOURSELF IF YOU ARE IN A ZOMBIE SITUATION THAT IS BIG! Spare the zombies the trouble. Anyway, if you did bunker up, with your friends...It's only a matter of time until someone snaps in your party and does something bad. Then, your best friend "Alice" would go insane from the constant banging of zombies, trying to break in...Sooner or later, maybe they will...Only to find your body, with a shotgun with one bullet missing... You would have probably killed yourself in the despair of a hopeless situation, where humanity will probably flicker out like a light..

So, you will not survive, stop making plans. And repeat threads.

I agree with your statement, might as well try though right? May be bad but who knows, you might put the thought into somebodies head who CAN actually survive. Have good ideas and actually continue your damn species. Unlikely but hey the people who talk about zombie apocalypse plans I've found arnt as prepared as others. Mainly because alot of them require you knowing theres a fucking zombie apocalypse before your dead and a zombie.

Well, if you're paranoid enough to stockpile food, water and weapons and ammo, then it might be more live-able. People could be immune. When the Black Plague hit Europe, there were people who were immune to it.

Yeah, in fact it's assumed that most of the human population are descended from these people, but the fact that there are natural immunities doesn't raise any given persons chances of being immune any higher.

I usually agree with these kinds of statement, you the "Your not as badass as you think!", however. I do disagree with this one, not because I personally believe I will survive, I know good and well, I probably won't. I do, however, believe some people will. I think no matter what the situation, there will be some lucky (or unlucky depending on how you look at it) who have a chance of actually surviving such a thing. To say I know of someone like this, no, it could be anybody, all it would require was being in the right place at the right time. Again, you made the point that with time we would, however, eventually completely die out. This, I can possibly agree upon, but again its all about luck.

Bunker up in a skyscraper, block stairwells. There should be enough food in the tower to last you until the zombies die off (If undead slow or fast, they WILL rot to the point of being unable to move). Survived

Yeah, that has haunted me a lot aswell, it makes it more like I Am Legend than anything else. I honestly believe it would be hard for any person to sane to have to deal with thinking they were the last living person.

Well you have to think about it right? If it was a contact strain, the chance of having it under control would be relatively high if the threat was identified. Whereas if it were airborne, well it's be hard to stop.

It is a book but if we take lessons from it and what they did to win and also read The Zombie Survival Guide we are sure to win against the zombies.
